I had a Dill Dog the other day.

Essentially a chili dog with mustard, cheese, chili, onions, pickles and cole slaw.

Either cheese, bacon bits, and jalapeno peppers or just regular ketchup, mustard, chili, and onions. This is the only two ways I eat them, though the former more often than the latter.

Mustard. Maybe a bit of sriracha for an added kick. But that's about it for my hot dog.

mayo, hot sauce, some cucumbers under hot dog maybe? There's no need to overcomplicate it.

depends on what I can find in my fridge. I might put Ketchup, mustard, mayo, hot sauce, liquid cheese, shredded cheese, chili, ground beef, baked beans, lentils, sauerkraut, caramelized onions, relish, bacon, bell peppers, avocado, salsa, teriyaki sauce, grilled onions, butter (a bit slathered on the hotdog bun), or coleslaw.

Things I wouldn't add to it, but other people do: Pickles, grilled corn, diced tomatoes, diced carrots, jalapeños, cucumbers.

If you're using a quality sausage, they can taste good plain as well.

Massive warning: Do not add all of this at the same time, just 1 or 2 sauces and 1 topping.

That's no longer a hotdog.
It sounds like a sandwich to me. And that means whether or not it's still a hotdog depends entirely on whether or not you think a hotdog is a sandwich.

Also, a sandwich is just a small pizza with an extra bit of bread on top. (Take it from someone who's actually Italian. That's just how it is.)
