Its not about caring of the thumbsup, i dont care about my react score like some other people do, i care more about the fact if im disliked.
I have social phobia. So thinking what i said was disliked by the other person, is kinda jiffy for me.
Also please alicemoonvale, stop.
Stop bullying me.
Just stop.

ps : For people that dont know the context, Alicemoonvale has a liking to bully me by saying things (that can seem begnin) but clearly aimed at me but that is clearly at the lvl of crawling under my skin.
I had someone fill me in on this one on one of the helldivers subreddit. But basically someone challenged the devs to complete a D10 (highest difficulty) mission on a bug planet that had almost all the faction's difficulty modifier. It was meant to be a charity challenge but also meant to show that the game, although a lot of fun, is filled with BS bugs that spikes the difficulty for no reason (one exemple was that enemy and their projectile could phase through enemy corpses). A bunch of people added to the challenge (one made a specific load out to 4 devs just to show how some strategems and weapons were underwhelming). OOP came out and made a video clarifying the rules and conditions of the charity challenge.
Some members of the community would not take criticism against the game or the developers lightly (they are nicknamed the glazedivers). They perceived the original challenge as a mean to humiliate the devs, when it was all the opposite. It was a charity challenge and it could help the devs understand the frustration that the community has been suffering on higher difficulty. So what did these glazedivers do? They doxxed the OOP and did a bunch of messed up shit like harrassing him at his job site till the company that employed OOP fird him for "security reasons", harrassing the animal shelters he volunteered at, harassed his wife etc. So he not only retracted from his initial charity challenge proposition, but also deleted his account and left reddit.
The animal shelter closing down must be part of the harassment campaign that the glazedivers did agaisnt OOP
Because. Nowadays people are a bunch of simps/crazy fangirls, that want you dead (and worse) if you say something bad about their favorite game or movie or TV show.
And that is the crazy thing.
Context:
Helldivers2 game, is utterly badly balanced.
To the point its like a open secret that the devs dont play the game. Like ton other games. But worse is that years ago, the devs did a livestream and indeed didnt even beat a mission at high difficulty. And player counts dropped abysmally until they did a huge buff patch. And its also known in community, that the official discord/reddit, are all a bunch of simps that praise the game = echo chamber. And anyone criticizing the game = banned. People emoji/criticize something ? Banned.
But community stayed strong despite the official devs/mods being shit, and game being a gold mine (it could be THE game for pve fps, equaling DeepRockGalactic) utterly run by incompetence that even a monkey could do better. (i remember a old joke that was said : the devs probably let a bunch of monkeys in a room to decide for them any new ideas, because no human beings with a normal brain could be that stupid).
If for other games, criticizing the game is bashed on, this game is x2 worse with spam of "git gud" "you simply sucks" and even if given constructive criticisms or GENIUS IDEAS to make it better = "glaze divers" will still say its bs or hate you. But a +0.00001 buff is like the devs saved 500 babies from a fire.
But still, everyone bear it.
So. This "horse guy". Had this good and WHOLESOME idea to propose a 1k charity challenge to the devs to basically : play their own game
and beat it at high diff.
Which can help devs open their eyes to the mess the game is.
BUT the "glaze divers". Players that think of the game, as their sole salvation in their shitty life, well. They didnt take it well.
The challenge, to their eyes is basically an insult to their PERFECT game. Because making this challenge is insinuating the game is badly balanced. So people doxed the dude. Spammed death threats to him/his wife, his workplace of electricity (7years job), and the horse sanctuary he loved volunteering for. Just because of a game.
ps : It sure didnt help my mood, that this MoonVale guy, pop up and do a snarky remark that "i dislike not getting a thumbs up/any react" -------(without saying my name but only me said it recently in SHF)
-(which is true but out of context. Context that i even cautiously explained when i said it, just in case someone would think i care about the pointless thumbs-up/reacts, when in fact i care about more that the other people dislike me or my words, and when someone doesnt react at all, is basically making my pessimist brain indeed do think that)
-(for me, thumbs-up is like a "i have read it/you make sense" kinda of symbolism click and less of a "thumbs up i like what you said" and no-react is like "what you said is bs" which makes me sad. Because im accustomed like lot of other users to thumbs-up after reading something even if i didnt particularly like it)
Learned that some people have a victim complex and should seek therapy before randomly accusing people of nonsense in long, schizophrenic-coded monologues, and misgendering?
