TIL Apple recently paid $95 million because Siri was caught eavesdropping on private conversations, like doctor visits and drug deals, then sending those recordings for human contractors to listen to. Siri was triggered not just by "Hey Siri," but by phrases that sounded similar like "seriously."

How to tell if an infection is bacterial or viral?

Viral infections often develop gradually, such as a cold that starts with a scratchy throat and progresses to a cough and congestion.

Bacterial infections, however, tend to appear suddenly and with more intensity. For example, strep throat can cause a severe sore throat and high fever that comes on quickly.

Today I learned that there used to be a Harry Potter mobile game set in the 2010s to 2020s at one point and was shutdown in 2022-nyah.

TIL about Lawrence Ripple, a man who robbed a bank to get away from his wife, only to be sentenced to house arrest

24 January 2017

A 70-year-old man from Kansas has pleaded guilty to a bank robbery on Tuesday, saying he did it to escape from his wife.

Lawrence Ripple robbed a Kansas City bank, last September, and then waited in the lobby until police came.

He told investigators he would rather go to jail than live at home, and now faces up to 20 years.

His wife accompanied him to court, but has not commented, reported the Kansas City Star.
