The sins since they are so easy to encompass a lot of things while being a manageable number to explore.

Tiamat is Mesopotamian. Bahamut is Hindu.Pretty sure those two are from Mesopotamian myth, definitely not Hindu lol.
But there are a ton of Hindu myths that have influenced modern day Christian ones and even a lot of fantasy, but nobody ever realizes it
Bahamut definitely isn't Hindu: https://mythology.net/mythical-crea...hology, Bahamut is,mustard seed in a desert.”Tiamat is Mesopotamian. Bahamut is Hindu.
That's pretty cool, it makes sense that Hindu mythology would have had a lot of influence on the cultures of the surrounding region. Thanks for sharing your findings with meHmm.... just did a bit of my own checking and found this.

So, in other words, I was confusing Bahamut with Akūpāra, the world turtle of Hindu mythology.
That said, looking over Bahamut's Wiki entry (which cuts down on the colorful poetic language in favor of just the base facts, short and concise), and seeing he's actually from Islam, it looks like the Akūpāra-Bahamut connection is actually just about exactly the same as Job's Tiamat-Leviathan connection. (Which, I guess, adds fuel to the fire for promoting the Bahamut is a Leviathan assertion.)
I actually heard Bahamut was Hindu in origin from a teacher I had in highschool. By this research, it looks like he was just a bit off, so a fact check was indeed in order.
Darksiders.huh, i've seen a few leviathans but dont think i've ever really seen 4 Horseman... unless the generic 'Demon Lord's 4 generals/subordinates/"insert X title" trope counts.
Please go with Leviathan I guess. This isn’t a thread to talk about religion, I’m only interested in which Christian inspired writing/story cliche is the most interesting/fun to read about.
If I missed anything comment it below.
Why is Strife so heavily leaning on the dominatrix theme?Darksiders.
Wait, Strife? Not Fury? Why is Strife so heavily leaning on the dominatrix theme?
Sorry it is Fury.Wait, Strife? Not Fury?
Those are action games, and the first one was made way back. They were not able to think of a way to incorporate Famine-themed character into an action game. However they still fit the theme since they bring the apocalypse to Earth.Sorry it is Fury.
Strife is apparently their Conquest. Gunslinger.
Also, no Famine?
Well, all I remember about War is that child me thought he was cool with skull motifs all over his armored hood. Death straddled the floor like a male stripper and Fury is a dominatrix. Those are action games, and the first one was made way back. I know two fictions that used them, the series "Supernatural" and the novel "Breakers"huh, i've seen a few leviathans but dont think i've ever really seen 4 Horseman... unless the generic 'Demon Lord's 4 generals/subordinates/"insert X title" trope counts.
