What are your characters' flaws?

After getting into the fantasy world,

He's playing far too safe and avoid nearly any kind of risk, as he always take the absolute safe path.

He even avoid the kind of risk he can manage and highly possible to turn into good opportunity. As result, He lost so many good life-changing opportunity and chance at improving his life.

Especially when he reject the opportunity to ally with a transmigrator Duke daughter to become her knight or something and gain opportunity to train and become strong under her with her Mary Sue OP LitRPG system and [Hero] powers.

MC even lose the memory of her power and most of their relationship because of said rejection, causing grief for both side as they cherish the memories together.

It becomes MC greatest regret after he eventually fight the same kind of danger he wanted to avoid by marrying her when he wanted to his book and doing other bussiness in capital.

Ryan's weakness is the inability to murder young girls.
The first time, 11 of his men died.
The second time he spared the life of a young girl, 11 dwarves died and indirectly crippled the logistical output of the entire kingdom so it will be easier for the kingdom next door to invade. Potentially thousands will die because he couldn't murder one girl.

Yes. TWICE I put the MC in the position that it was morally justifiable to murder a child to save others and he couldn't.

Did I mention the girl died anyways in both situations?

Sometimes a character's good point can be a flaw. For example, I have a character that is too intelligent and another that is too good looking they become an outcast because people envied or is afraid of them.

My main character is too naive for a Queen. Weak even, though, it's helping her, as it makes her a reformist (which, funnily enough, increases her chance of survival).

But it pales to her main "enemy". The guy's a lunatic. He's basically plotting to start a revolution/a civil war against her, using the Army.

My characters all have the same flaw:

they believe true perfection does not = nonperfection


As in, flaws are just a method of figuring out how to be perfect by considering what's necessary to bridge your current amazing self with your future splendid & spectacular ego.

I like crippled characters. I think it makes for a sympathetic character. I like making them rage & despair over their unfortunate circumstances. Maybe they blame god, maybe they blame luck, maybe they blame themselves - perhaps they have self loathing because of the stupid decision that caused them to be a cripple in the first place.

I like watching characters overcome these disabilities through intelligence and sheer will.

I dont like bullshit deus-ex-machina that magically heals the crippled character, making them suddenly a fully functional person. I like watching these characters become great IN-SPITE of these crippling disabilities

He's too strong, too smart, too good-looking, and too caring for the world around him... since I gave him the same flaws as me! Nah, just kidding.

My MC is an outspoken sadist, that likes theatrics a bit too much, thinks himself a gentleman and a knight in shining armor, likes poking hornet nests, and likes to conduct himself too overly polite and "high-class" to piss off others.

Shari, Slime Girl: Somewhat abrasive, needs extremely long to adapt to her reality of being a monster and that still with many reservations.
Yet her biggest flaw, despite better knowledge she keeps on jinxing situations by saying it's going to turn out alright.

Iori, Eldritch goddess: The probably worst person to have endless powers. Not because she's evil (she's quite friendly and tries her best not to unravel reality) but because she's timid, angsty, passive, and avoiding troublesome stuff at all costs. This includes refusing to merge back with a part of her that killed something for her leaving it instead in another dimension to its own devices. Or that she accidentally created a civilization and rather posed as the devil before taking up any kind of responsibility as their rightful goddess.

For Ayaka, she's too shy and reserved in a world centered around interacting with others. Her key memories have also been sealed, causing her to be emotionally unstable whenever she gets reminded of her parents. Despite these, I would say that her biggest flaw is probably her tendency to get lost in her thoughts. Whenever she starts to get caught up in her thoughts, she loses focus of the world around her, causing her to sustain many hits that she would not usually. When I say loses focus of the world around her, I mean completely. She just zones out anything except her thoughts. This state could last for hours before she snaps out of it or is forced to snap out of it as a result of getting hit.

She also has to deal with several traumas that have been sealed by her system, but are unsealed upon failing a quest given by the system. So far, she hasn't had to deal with any trauma yet, but she will soon.

My MC has a strong will, she doesn't break down from defeat but it made her over-ambitious. Doing tasks that would be too much for her to handle, in hope of that extremely small chance of succeed.

Main character can be quite insensitive and blunt. He's also a bit detached and doesn't exactly learn to empathize until around 2, 3 volumes in. Also tends to be reckless.
