Sorry but for legal reasons, paypal/patreon/etc is banned in fanfics. Fanfictions are a legal gray zone and if we allowed financial gain of any kind, we would be legally compliant with copyright infringement. There are detection in place to remove any paypal, patreon, etc... links if your story...

Well, well, well, would you look at that? Who would've guessed huh? All those 'smart' people, all those 'lawyers' lawyering the law while posting , turns out one retard was smarter than all of them combined.

I think chewing on those cables in Tony's basement has got me somewhere since vindication these past two weeks is... It feels...

Especially considering the hate I got when I first asked to prohibit monetization of translations. I mean, my thread even got deleted(or I'm blind and can't find it), which doesn't happen often on SHF.

Considering what happend to translations first, now fanfcis, the last question we have to answer here is, "Is Sailus a prophet, or is he simply a man with one working braincell?" Tough question. Share your thoughts.

All he-he and ha-has aside, smut was the first thing to be heavily nerfed. Way before translations were touched, and obviously way before fanfics. There is not a single smutty cover nowadays while before it was ok. Not to mention how works that are 'mostly' smut got deleted recently. This has only happened prior to 2022 -2023 when all chapters of a novel were 18+.

I will try to use my single braincell once again and say the following. In a year smut rules will become even stricter and will resemble RR much more.

OR... or fanfics will be deleted. I think next step will be fanfics deletion because monetization is prohibited, but the way it is enforced is weak. Fanfics writers will do the same thing they do on WebNovel, and no one will report them. Considering there are also monetized translations of fanfics... It's only a matter of time before Tony gets DMCA, possibly another DMCA.

That was my original prediction in my feature request thread, the thread where I asked people to vote for prohibition of monetization of fanfics. Unfortunately it didn't get enough traction to reach Tony because a couple of bad apples rolled there and completely derailed the thread, making it impossible to have normal conversation and persuade people.

Anyway, here's my bet. In half a year\year, either all fanfics will be deleted, smut rules will resemble RR, or both.
