Some of us have these "phases" where we go through an emo/goth period in our lives, or similar.

What kind of "phase" have you gone through? Do you miss it? Do you regret it?

I went through an emo phase when I thought collecting b&w art of a goth girl kissing a butterfly was cool.

Attention-seeking (I guess?) phase. I'm short (under five feet) and got really tired of people staring at me or making comments so I went out of my way to give them a real reason to stare or talk. I was really insecure about my height at the time.

I did everything from dye my hair black-blue (I was almost ash-blonde before that) to shaving my head completely. Wore pleather mini-skirts, halter tops and knee-high platform boots. Or dressed completely in orange. Basically, had an appearance that would get them to talk about anything but my height.

I had a Ben Shapiro phase...

Then sometime after graduating highschool I realized I let an American political commentator and his ilk occupy way too much space in my southeast Asian brain.

Mellowed out after that and eventually became that one friend that's too woke.

Then I finally had my emo phase in my 20s.

I miss my marble phase, there used to be a big marble craze during my childhood so me and my friends and relatives would go around the place battling random kids for marbles all the time, I still have a big jar of marbles that I've won lol.

I had a reddit atheist phase when I was a teenager and nowadays I'm a firm believer purely out of spite because internet atheisrs are cringe and annoying. I qlso had a culture war politics brainrot phase. I deeply regret those times. My mental health immensely recovered via watching vtubers which was also the reason I escaped that phase.

I went through a joker phase during my high school year (no, not Batman Joker. Like, I'm a joke and I take everything as a joke phase). Makes my high school year somewhat easier cuz even when I accidentally did something embarrassing, everybody thinks it's nothing out of the ordinary. Well, in reality, I took most things seriously but passed them on in a joking manner.

And of course, the mandatory emo phase before that and the suicidal phase after that (y)

I was and still am a childish manchild cunt who is way too serious for shits and emo as hell.

Except now I have responsibilities.

So the phase changing is more of a "there is someone to pay for my bills" to "me having to pay for everyone's bills"

if we're talking about phase in writing, I'd say being horny.

I'm serious lol ?

but if we're talking about life, then I'd say being rebellious in a way.

I went through the adult phase at one point. Worst mistake of my life, people just won't let go of it and are still treating me as an adult.

There were times when I took things seriously.

I had the "weeaboo" phase from 2013-2017. Full on school group chat anime club weeaboo. Learning japanese in math class, weeaboo. Obsessed with becoming a "mangaka." The dream was to go to Japan and work for a company like shonen jump. It took a few, once a gaijin, always a gaijin discourse to snap me out of it.

Of course, no one took me seriously, so I never took the art serious in that time period. After that, The digital art liberal was born, the liberal turned into a manifesto writing communist, and the communist turned into a hoi4 /pol/ loving fascist(albeit still left-leaning). Then I "normalized" or rather became a schizoid. I don't quite know yet, but I'm stable now, no more phases.

If you didn't understand, any additional jargon, well keep it that way for your sanity.

Actually, I'm in my, I can totally make a career out of "writing" phase.
