Scribble has an amazing community

I finally made an account yesterday after being a lurking anon and reading random stories for a while. I decided to start working on a project that lets me explore my darker ideas and put those intrusive thoughts I sometimes get into something productive. It’s a psychological horror that acts as a deconstruction of 50 Shades of Grey and similar titles that have cropped up. I wanted to focus on how terrifying that situation actually is when you remove the Hollywood filter and pop music.

I’m already at 34 views, 5 readers, and even got my first piece of fan mail which blows my mind. This community is incredible and seems to really embrace new writers even if your story is a niche a mine.

I have also been trying to find more stories to read and follow and support anyone I can to pay it back but I am also a psych major trying to wrap up my last final.

I appreciate all of you for having a community that is this positive and encouraging.

Wonderful advice, lucky there was no link and just someone telling me what they liked so far and hoped to see more of.The entirety of my story is about the danger of taking risks and trying to get easy money. It would be almost ironic if that happened and probably make me laugh for a bit.

Speaking of links, ask around about efficiently linking your story to your signature. Might help give your content more exposure.

Well, there are indeed only a few platforms that truly support new authors. SH is one of them. They have the latest series and the latest updates feature, allowing anyone to release and promote their work freely. I once tried Wattpad, but gave up because I struggled to understand the platform's engagement. Since then, my fictions have focused on SH.
