Had this dumb idea for a story that I don't think I'll ever use so enjoy. A couple magical girls are fighting crime as per usual when they stop a drug deal. However, one of them, being curious, steals some of the drugs. Like a whole kilo. She tries it and convinces the others it's good and that they should sell it because some of them are poor and need money. Thus, they become magical girl kingpins that stop drug runners to steal their product and resell it. As a result, they are eventually considered no longer fit to be magical girls and the powers that be revoked their powers. Since they have nothing better to do, the three pretty much run an operation with an iron fist despite being nice to everyone and pretending to still be super powered magical girls. The story gets dark quickly after that as some people start to figure out that they don't have powers anymore and plan a coup. All but one of the ex-magical girls are killed as the last one is saved by the next batch of magical girls. Learning her lesson about, I don't know, becoming an authoritarian mafioso druglord, she becomes a trauma-ridden advisor to the next set of magical girls.
Do what you will with this. It may already be a story. I don't know.

With how the japanese love to abuse their Magical Girls you'd hafta thunk there be at least sum doujins with that, but nope. It's almost always futa and/or tentacles, never drugs...
Write it. This might be the moral lesson little girls nowadays really need: Don't become a magical girl (and/or) druglord!

The moral of the story is, if you are around the age of 12 and use and/or sell drugs then you and/or your friends will be executed mafia style.
You know what? My favorite quote from an anti-drug PSA ever could work here. "If you're a twelve year old girl and you're high on marijuana, please, don't ride your bike."
Why would you give one a "redemption" arc? Oh yeah, this character ruined lives and caused personal tragedies by selling drugs but we aren't going to put her into a slammer or kill her, she'll be an advisor to magical girls, what?
You called it "breaking bad", not "breaking mild", go all the way! The last survivor girl schemed against the other girls because she wanted profits for herself+the others threatened the operation. She personally kills one amd sets up the other. Although she lost her magical girl powers, she quickly contacted the evil magical girls or whatever antagonists (even before she started selling drugs since she was the one who propised the idea in the first place) , so she retains her powers to some extent but has to maneuver between the camps of magical girls who hunt her and the dark forces who she must play along with. As the story unfolds, so does her life as her family all gets murdered as collateral of brutal gang wars with a dash of supernatural and her normal life can mever be returned. She hides her identity, but more and more of her is eaten away by the kingpin persona. She herself grows more cruel and decisive as the story goes on, disposing of her enemies in increasingly brutal ways as she consolidates her power, on the inside she feels empty. In the final arc she is forced against the wall because everyone is out to get her for the chaos she has caused. She creates a brilliant escape plan the result of which would be her taking the money and starting oved far, far away. The ghosts of her friends haunt her. God, she used to be a heroine of justice, how did that happen? No matter, she now has the way to start from a blank state. It was all worth it. It was.
Her escape attempt is thwarted at the last minute, she is lying on the ground, blood pooling all around. She is getting cold. So cold. She remembers her days as a magical girl, herself laughing with her friends, herself holding up to great aspirations. She was so happy back then... what changed? Why did it have to be this way? Was it all worth it? She remembers her former friends. Alice, her eyes wide as she saw her pull the trigger. Jennie boarding the car her goons had rigged. Jennie was so nervous, she wasn't cut out for this. It had to be done, Jennie.
She remembers all the other people who had to die and leave the stage for her ambitions: Clover Green, Malicio, Don Legade, and many more... She remembers her parents, her sister, all dead. She remembers the people who died to her revenge.
It all feels so cold now. So empty. Was it all worth it?
Was it? Now that she was lying here, on the ground, her life numbering seconds.
She feels so tired. So, so tired.
She should go to sleep.
Mom, will you wake me up tommorow at 6? I have planned to meet with Jennie and Alice at 8.
Of course, sweety.
Love you, Mom.
Love you too. Good night.
Good night.
Sweet dreams.

Don't forget to put some interlude about the magical girl mischievous times when they nearly Lack of members, so they're trying to find a little girl to recruit, only for them to accidentally force-transform a ten year old boy with feminine girly face and force him into typical genderbend-magic girl.
Worse of all, the girl version of the boy look masculine like a tomboy, even with long hair. The boy tries to refuse, but the gang of girls manage to convince him by some funny manipulative metode to trick naive child. The fact that the boy have some kind of usual hero dream helps a lot.
Eventually they taught everything necessary for the forced genderbend little magic girl to live as female, the usual heartwarming bits of buying bra, genital organ introduction, toilet training, and stuff.
Some of the girl also realized how hard it is to act like parent and older guardian of naive boy, especially when one of the girl use some magic trick to simulate pregnancy the boy, before they realize that the genderbend little girl haven't experience menstruation.
They had lots of fun time together and the girls tried their best to taught the new junior who would one day replaced them, although they're not necessarily innocent while experimented with lots of thing.
Until one day, there's a massive monster wave arc and the magical girl team have to work harder than usual. Everyone must fend for themselves, the boy training gets neglected even worse day by day, and The morale gets worse due to the whole crisis.
The genderbend magic girl died due to :

[ Recklessly charging hordes of medium danger Local monster wave to save some kids on playground, while ignoring other magic girl instructions to not fight enemy beyond your ability. The GenderBend magic girl died in costume and no one would recognize her other than the magic girl team that know she's actually a boy. In order to make closure to his parents, The magical girl team had to make fake truck crash to cover the boy's death by reconstructing a clone of the boy from his leftovers mana inside his magic girl form. The boy's real body get sent into "magical girl funeral of heroes" ]
[ B ]
[ The genderbend magic girl get's into huge conflict with his seniors due to the accumulated neglect and current bad treatments, and then run off to escape and vent off, only to get assasinated by Major Demon/Evil Magic Girl in the middle of nowhere. Magic girls arrived late at the scene, as the police has already been there. He died in human form and the magic girl team saw his parents weeping in the boy's funeral. ]

[ Magical Girl team has finally found the source of the monster wave : a finally boss demon that called for reinforcement. Magical girl team commencing Final boss type of battle, but the genderend magic girl is simply not strong enough due to lack of training. The genderbend magic get shredded to oblivion mid battle, while magical girl team hear the final scream. The whole team awaken inner-rage, Level-up massively, and kill the Final Boss demon. They manage to get a part of magic girl clothing as memoriam from the scraps, but they can't fake the boy's death as the scraps had no trace of the boy's mana. The next week, they found posters about the boy's disappearance made by his parents. They found out that the boy's existence in the world has been erased by the Final boss demon, as no one seems to remember the boy, not even his parent. There's no trace of him in every photos, text, official data etc. Nobody in the town remember the genderbend magical girl either. Even the magical girls phone no longer had his photo. The boy's only proof of existing was the scrap clothes, spare clothing in the base, and the memories they've made together as the junior in magical girl team. Only the team ever remember his existence, as they're immune to memory attack.
To mourn the death of their lovely gender end magical girl boy, the team decide to make a sketch and painting of their lovely gender end magical girl as a replacement photo, by combining one member's painting abilities and their magically reconstructed memories. They make lots painting while having hard time remembering the boy's appearance and sometimes laughed at funny moment, while teared up while reflecting on their mistake. Finally, they take turns to say final funeral speech to the painting of the literally no-longer existing boy. ]
The whole team realizes the lesson of their teaching incompetence with heavy price; a loss of the boy they raise like junior and family.
Alas, Life continues and The story goes on... even if the wind and the clouds gets even darker....
