Boondocks - a North American informal term for a rough, remote, or isolated country. It is from the Tagalog (base dialect of the Filipino language) word 'bundok', which meant mountain.

Huh!

And here I have been using that word since I was kid. Saying certain people live in the "Boonies" (meaning rural). Or saying "he out in the 'docks'" (meaning boondocks).

Fun to know its a Tag word~

I think it's one of the few words--if not the only word--that came from Tagalog to English, and not the other way around.

With one of the best fight scenes ever:

Riley Vs Huey (48 seconds, that double kick)

lol And yet Huey loses against every serious fight he ever had. Like, he wipes mobs but that's it. The boy literally invented shock gloves to fight some dude and got his ass pounded raw. Such a great series, really loved it.

A Pimp Named Slickback will forever live rent free in my head
I more ment the Merriam-Webster dictionary changing and adding definitions to words

I don't think I've ever looked anything up on urban dictionary other then some weird slang words and phrases
yeah i did hear something about that. But I'm not sure of the exact details, so all i can say is that definitions change and evolve with the times and aren't even the same across all regions. Hence, i ain't really gonna hold it against them
