Yeah, I agree, now check my hard drive(there's a 400 yottabyte zip bomb in there for you)
I do not believe it is appropriate to draw conclusions about the author based on some of their characters. Here's a thought: some authors write about child abuse because they were abused as children. Maybe some of the kids in Mushoku Tensei are problematically sexualized because the author was themself as a child? The most well-known example is Mushoku Tensei. The author is a pedophile, and he even had to edit a part of the story because the publisher complained.
Like the National Enquirer? Gossip magazines have been a thing for an extremely long time. Nobody takes them seriously and few people consider them problematic. An example would be fanfictions about real people
Being a pedophile is not a criminal act in my country of residence. Crimes require actions where I live, so stalking, touching, verbal harassments, and taking pictures can be crimes, as can possessing underage porn (on your computer, phone, or as physical copies). But only being inappropriately attracted to kids (a pedophile) is not a crime itself.Being a pedophile is a criminal act.
Ah, cool. Thanks for the correction... But how do we know when someone is a pedophile?Being a pedophile is not a criminal act in my country of residence. Why bother? Just lynch them!Ah, cool. Thanks for the correction... But how do we know when someone is a pedophile?
At some point I was going to do a troll post asking about checking the hard drives of authors that write about sorcerers and witchcraft. Why bother? Just lynch them!

Something something, Moderator John, something something, they are having sex, something something, completely unacceptable, burn them on a stake. At some point I was going to do a troll post asking about checking the hard drives of authors that write about sorcerers and witchcraft.
In the web novel community, the belief that everything is fine because it's fiction is so deeply established that I fear potential heresy to humanity is being raised.
Yeah, and I know that almost anything written in fiction could be viewed as such, but some things are just more uncomfortable than others.
The most well-known example is Harry Potter. The author is a witch, and she even had to edit a part of the story because the publisher complained.
What is your opinion? Where do you draw the line? Do you think that, in the end, fiction is just fiction? Or should sorcerers and witches be burn at the stake, or whatever is the appropriate way of dealing with these things in your culture?
Am I being hyperbolic? Yeah. But I'm giggling at myself.
Anyways, it is a silly idea and I'll leave it on here.![]()
