No, I don't think so. But if your story gets popular enough it's obvious pirates will post it on other sites without your permission.Nothing is pirated, right?
don't post it onlineHow do I prevent pirates from stealing my story?
Thanks!I think the only version they can't pirate on my work is the one with illustrations.
...why? What does adding some pictures to the story do that stops them from copy-pasting it? Or is this supposed to be an NFT joke?I think the only version they can't pirate on my work is the one with illustrations.
makes it a bit harder for some of the bots. it can't stop them though...why? What does adding some pictures to the story do that stops them from copy-pasting it? Or is this supposed to be an NFT joke?
Nah, really, I'm serious. I haven't found a pirated version of my work with in-chapter illustration. It's always the non-illustrated ones. I don't know the reason though....why? What does adding some pictures to the story do that stops them from copy-pasting it? Or is this supposed to be an NFT joke?
Yea, @greyblob's explanation makes sense. I guess I was just thinking of how it would only take a couple of lines to make the bot ignore images and only scrape the text. That tracks though; people who would steal a story are the same ones who would be too lazy to go to any real effort when making their scrapper bots.Nah, really, I'm serious. Perhaps @greyblob's explanation could shed a light on this.
pretty much as @Psycholor saidNah, really, I'm serious. I haven't found a pirated version of my work with in-chapter illustration. It's always the non-illustrated ones. I don't know the reason though.

I doubt any sweatshop chiniese programmer is going to take the time to troubleshoot. that doesn't stop other (slightly more improved) bots from scraping it though. I mean, webnovel has removed the text from the source code completely and it's still getting scrapedYea, @greyblob's explanation makes sense. CarefullyHow do I prevent pirates from stealing my story?
There's an aggregator here that picked up my (former) chapters, though it vanished when I deleted my story in this site.Only got a few chapters posted. Posted here, no aggregate pickup. Posted on royal road, suddenly the aggregates got the chapters up. Safer here I'd say, probably not tracked by automated systems.
So start drawing for all your chapters?Nah, really, I'm serious. I haven't found a pirated version of my work with in-chapter illustration. It's always the non-illustrated ones. I don't know the reason though.

Nah, why would I, when I own the rights to my work anyway? So start drawing for all your chapters?
So this meant my work is popular (in some parts of the net, at least)? The only way to prevent stealing is not posting or being unpopular![]()
