So, here's the full message:

Yes, it sounds too good to be true.
But the thing that makes me uncertain is because they paid 8 bucks just to send me this message on patreon.
Basically, i kinda wish this is true, so i just replied them to arrange a meeting call.
While still researching what i need to ask and what i need to negotiate while praying hard they not asking me for money for anything
The fact that he subscribed means that they need you. and he was given a budget for this hunt for you. but don’t forget that this is the price of a cup of coffee) This is India, they have a custom of bargaining, this is their cultural code. Start with 30% so that you have some wiggle room and don't drop below 20%. Why is texting better than calling? Because you can re-read their proposal 10 times and take your time to think. People from international platforms often speak very fast, with thick accents or confusing idioms—you risk misunderstanding half of what they say. Plus, even if you record the call, written emails are much easier to use as legal evidence than audio recordings. Stay safe and keep it in writing.

Ah yes,
I just ask them to continue the correspondence through email so i have time to read and think things through
You're right, its better than having a phone call

Thank you so much

Real or not, be very wary about whether this "offer" immediately drains you of any money. Don't care if they call it an "investment" or something else. That's the number one biggest red flag for all modern authorship scams. If they aren't asking you for money but only a % of commission on something they start, then it might be legit. Check contract paperwork and all that.

Thank you to all of you for the inputs.

Yes, apparently the adaptation offer is real and the one reaching me out is PocketFM USA

Few days ago I had been in a zoom call with the licensing director (omg she's a cute newyorker) and now i just need to review the contract they'd send me and negotiating on some points. (dont worry, they're not asking me any money)

The works itself not gonna released anytime soon tho because they said they need like 5 months for doing the production
But it gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling knowing somewhere out there there's a creative office discussing about my story 💕

Hopefully this will works and can be the start of something bigger.

Now, this orc just need to deal with this burn-out thingy and back to writing! :blob_thor:

Nice! Wish I could deal with the US office (I've heard they have offices in China, Japan, the US and South Korea but you only get to deal with the one that reaches out to you unless they transfer you to a different one) - might actually get paid then... And they might be a little less hesitant with the second story I offered, Strange Awakening.

You dont want to try ask them to connect you to the us office?
I think i got scouted by the us since my story is heavily american themed

I think they get offended if you ask to talk to a different office. At least from comments I've seen on the Discord.

Congratulations! Your development as a writer is phenomenal. I could see it from the moment I read your first chapter. Although the delivery is heavy on exposition, your narrator's voice is very entertaining (read: funny). I knew... this work had great potential, and now the results are showing. Other writers should probably learn from you. :blob_melt:

Eldoria senpai~ :blob_aww:

Thank you so much. Still trying to navigate the contract details tho.

And i seriously owe you the most here for your feedback.
True, i dont neccesarily do every of your suggestions, but it triggers me to do major rewrites back then and not easily feeling content with what i had writes (planning on doing the third rewrite atm)

I lova yah Eldoria senpai~ 💕
