play a RPG video game?

Make a story with the levels and stats from game.

Get roasted if you mess up the numbers.

Get tired of doing numbers so reduce the rpg part to be the minimum you can get away with

focus on the story instead, hope for profit

wait, your other work is based off solo levelings system... that is like LitRPG of LitRPGs. you should already have the idea.
Uh, no. It's not about levels, it's more of a normal fantasy... you know, like I'm Number 4, Dragon Ball, Bleach, I mean, not with a game-like system.

And I know, I've played all kinds of RPGs, even the garbage that was Eternal Sonata. What I don't understand is LitRPG.
Add LitRPG to only chapter one and then never bring it up again and see how long it takes readers to notice.
I put it there because I didn't know what else to put lol

ah.

Kill stuff, gain experience, grow more powerful. Or if your users 'system' needs something else to gain the levels or stats.

I am sure there is a tutorial somewhere, otherwise, Maybe read a few of them first to see how they play out?

Homo sapiens would not exist in its current form without oxytocin, so yes. We got all materialistic for a while and started treating females as property shortly after we started farming, but that never really changed who we are deep down.

There's no system, no hack; at most, the tournament allows you to steal the ability that the other player obtained through the contract if you kill one of them.

Damn, what a difficult system! Sometimes it won't let me reply without combining two answers...

You need to throw 10 chapters a week at them. No mercy, no time to rest. Eventually you'll trend and then you can relax. :blob_popcorn:
No, really, I did this and other ways to get peeps to read it.

Still 0.

So what does that mean to me? My style just suck; not the site or the process itself. Not really shooting myself down, I already accepted that hardwork can't replace talent.

No, the Power of Love is a curious thing
Make a one man weep, make another man sing
Change a hawk to a little white dove
More than a feeling, that's the power of love

Tougher than diamonds, rich like cream
Stronger and harder than a bad girl's dream
Make a bad one good (mm), make a wrong one right
Power of love that keeps you home at night

You don't need money, don't take fame
Don't need no credit card to ride this train
It's strong, and it's sudden, and it's cruel sometimes
But it might just save your life
That's the power of love

...at least according to Huey Lewis...

I have zero interest in love stories.
I'm more willing to look at stories where women can have a lot of fun with no romantic strings to get tangled into.
I'm a cynic when it comes to true love anyway.
Give me a story like "Lady Chatterly's Lovers" or something any day. ?

Heh, like the line in Tom Lehrer's song Smut:
"Who needs a hobby
Like Tennis or Philately.
I've got a hobby -
Re-reading Lady Chatterly"

I haven't read your style... but there are reasons why some books get popular, and others don't. You can have all the great intentions in the world with how you write, but if it isn't in a style the mainstream readers want, they are not going to read it.

If you don't cater to the crowd at least a little, you won't find the success you're looking for.

That said, if you are writing for you and want to share that experience with others, you have no need to change how you do things. Just manage your expectations, and change your definition of success.

Somehow, I have managed to have an 83 (now 84) year old man become quite popular in the LitRPG world I am writing... that makes no sense with SH being full of Girls love, gender benders and frankly other things that I find odd. I don't think my writing is super impressive, but I get a lot of positive reinforcement from my readers that they do indeed like the style, pacing and the story itself.

To me, it might come down to better understanding your audience. What do they want? How can you make your work fit that mould they want, and not fully compromise on what YOU want to write?

It is a give-and-take with your readers, unless you just want to say, f them: this is what I write, take it or leave it. If you do that, then expect not to get the number of readers you believe you deserve.

My two cents anyway, I write smut with a story, so what do I know?

Exactly what I did.
