If you had the Chance to re-invent any video game, which would it be and why?

For me, Bloody Roar, I think the game wasn't given enough of a fair chance, if I took the reigns, I would make Uriko the Main protagonsit, make the controls easy to pick up, expand the roster a bit, make the story a bit more upbeat and for Fuck's sake, give Alice her blue hair again!

But what game would you re-invent?

Runescape. I love the story and minigames and aesthetics, but the core gameplay has got to go.

Or, more accurately, I'd like to add some core gameplay, because it doesn't really have any right now.

All call of duty games.

I would make almost everything the same, except whenever there is a cut scene there will be elements or shots or props or something indicating some one is either going to the toilet, using a toilet, or leaving a toilet.

And also the generous use of the phrase "duty calls".

I would redo mass effect. except at the end, remove that stupid red blue choice BS with the kid, and make shepherd jump into one last fight for humanity.

a screen pops up in front of shepherd. and an 8bit recreation of asteroids flashes onto the screen, except the asteroids are reapers, and you're piloting the giant cannon across the open field of space.

the final scene, after blowing up all the reapers, would be, "Holy crap! Shepherd did it! we beat the reapers!" excitement, and happy noises, etc etc. but the cannon/ship shepherd is in has major damage. crashing down on earth. when they find him/her, and open the cockpit shepherd's passed away with a smile because we got'damn f**king won. we beat those robotic alien b*stards in the end.

Its a toss up between Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader or World of Warcraft. So Rogue Trader I would change the gameplay style. I tried playing it for the story/universe but I just hate turn based games like that. If I could change it to a more hybrid style like Dragon age: origins that would be great.

World of Warcraft would be to make it more of an RPG then a MMO. Get rid of the constant fetch quests and the giant text boxes and make it like Star Wars The Old Republic mmo. With voice acting and a world that feels more alive. WoW is a world/fantasy that I always wanted to get more into, reading lore/fan fic, but the game feels like a drag. (Did a free trial of it).

On a side note if anyone knows any good WoW fan fic and wants to recommend it would be appreciated.

Epic Seven, Cuz that game was rather interesting at a certain point, but now it has become so ass and unfair due to an incredibly tedious crafting system and game-destroying meta-characters like Frieren.

It was such an interesting game before, cuz there was so much strategy and intelligence involved in the gameplay.

Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 3, because I found that the devs had to cut out most of the content due to money, technical and time restraints. Sadly, I felt it in the game played with the rehashed missions. I want to see the game how the devs planned.

They also cut a lot of content from TY2 but that game felt complete even though it was a little short.

Agreed, plus leveling up to use certain types of weapons was always a slogg to go through, especially the slow combat speed

One could pick literally any Ubisoft game from the past 10 years. They all had potential; they were all ruined by business people who had no idea what gaming is truly about.

I would remake Ark to actually be an optimized dinosaur game, and I will not make it over a hundred gigs of buggy gameplay. I will make the dungeon aspect more interesting, and taming will not be so boring. Basically, I would redo everything from the ground up. And I would not rerelease it on Unreal 5 while calling it a new game and charging the players for it.

and when you click on it, its just plays the Lord Of The Rings Trilogy Extended Editions.

in fact none of the buttons lets you play the game, they all just plays Lord of the Rings.
