My character has lunch with someone in the prologue. It is a miracle he did not die.
There are three possible outcomes to having dinner with my protagonist:
1. I die a gruesome death. A very gory, likely extremely painful death. It is a likely outcome even if I do my best not to offend him. He might be annoyed by the way I eat my tomatoes or he could simply have a headache. Either way, I would not survive the encounter.
2. I die a boring death. This is the most likely outcome. He asks some questions, my answers bore him, my head explodes. At least it would be relatively painless.
3. He thinks I am interesting. In which case I might survive the encounter but would become a permanent source of entertainment. And that I would not survive. After serving as conversation partner on demand for a few weeks, I am sure I would encounter outcome one or two eventually.
