I have a novel idea but the thing is that the beginning part of it uhhh has child abuse.

Context is that the ML got reincarnated as the baby of a slave in a fantasy world where men are fewer than women (around 1:5). He is taken by his new master and confined there where she watches him grow up bit by bit. The actual child abuse is that after he reaches teenagehood, his master forces him to not wear any clothes 24/7.
Since he's reincarnated, he's mentally an adult, but since is current body is said to be underaged I'm worried I could get into trouble if I write it xd

Edit: that is as far that it'll go for my underaged body ML. He doesn't get r*p*d.
Edit 2: Okay maybe he is almost r-worded, but it'll be stopped right before then.

As long as you don't incite support via narrator side its usually okay.
You can also not expose said scene and be discreet about it.
Insinuating works for parts we're not keen in showing.
Hope that helps.

It's forbidden by the Great Convention of Obstinately Nice Writers of 1997. It has been put into the creed that trauma-inducing chapters are against writing laws. Naturally, if you are part of the Shadow Cabal (est. circa 2008), then you are regularly going against the international agreement, but still, you need a Drama Whore permit from the Cabal. And don't forget to renew it every five years, or you will need to go through acquiring it again, and with the inflation rates... It's not cheap.

Amen.

Whenever I see discussions like this, I think: "Y'know, Stephen King wrote that one scene in the IT book, but he was on a hefty amount of drugs. As a seemingly normal, rational person not on drugs, what's your excuse exactly?"
I want to try writing a dark fantasy in the future and that's one of the ideas that popped into my head xd

Guess I'll just scrap that element. Just gonna limit to the "she watched him grow up day by day, eager for his coming of age ceremony to come."

:blob_hmm: Do it.

But then.... it's risky. :sweating_profusely: So long as you don't glorify the thing. I actually had the same problem for my story esp about R-word stuff when I first made drafts about it.
But I am a coward so I aged characters up. :blob_hide:
