One of the dungeons my characters go through in XNPC is going to have a puzzle room, and I'd like it to be the kind of puzzle that my readers can solve alongside them if they want to. This is what I've come up with. Would anyone mind trying to solve it? I want to make sure that my logic doesn't have any holes, and that there's only one possible solution.

THERE ARE EIGHT STATUES STANDING IN A ROW BEFORE YOU, AND A SWORD LYING ON A PEDESTAL NEARBY. TWO OF THE STATUES ARE WEARING HELMETS: THE FIRST (FARTHEST TO THE LEFT) AND THE SIXTH (THIRD FROM THE RIGHT).

BEFORE YOU STANDS A COMPANY OF BRAVE KNIGHTS:
SIR ORIN
SIR AZMAR
SIR FAELORN
SIR EVERSTRONG
SIR DAYFLAME
SIR TRIDAN
SIR MIRGUN
SIR ASTERAL

SIR DAYFLAME IS DEPARTING SOON FOR BATTLE AND WILL NEED HIS SWORD.
AS HIS FAITHFUL SQUIRE, YOU MUST BRING IT TO HIM.

THE ORDER IN WHICH THE KNIGHTS ARE LISTED ABOVE DOES NOT MATCH THE ORDER IN WHICH THEY STAND BEFORE YOU.

SIR MIRGUN IS STANDING DIRECTLY TO THE RIGHT OF SIR ORIN.
SIR DAYFLAME IS STANDING DIRECTLY TO THE LEFT OF SIR TRIDAN.
SIR AZMAR IS WEARING A HELMET.
THERE ARE TWO KNIGHTS STANDING BETWEEN SIR DAYFLAME AND SIR FAELORN.
SIR EVERSTRONG IS STANDING THE FARTHEST TO THE RIGHT.
SIR DAYFLAME IS NOT WEARING A HELMET.
SIR ASTERAL IS STANDING DIRECTLY TO THE RIGHT OF SIR TRIDAN.
THERE IS ONE KNIGHT STANDING BETWEEN SIR FAELORN AND SIR TRIDAN.
NEITHER OF THE KNIGHTS STANDING BESIDE SIR ASTERAL ARE WEARING HELMETS.
ONE OF THE KNIGHTS DIRECTLY BESIDE SIR MIRGUN IS WEARING A HELMET.
SIR FAELORN IS NOT WEARING A HELMET.

I suck at games like this, big time. Still logging in my answer :blob_cookie: from left to right.
EDIT: Put into a Spoiler.

SIR AZMAR
SIR DAYFLAME
SIR TRIDAN
SIR ASTERAL
SIR FAELORN
SIR ORIN
SIR MIRGUN
SIR EVERSTRONG

(1) M = O + 1
(2) D = T - 1
(3) AZ = 1 or 6
(4) D = F + 3 or F - 3
(5) E = 8
(6) D = not 1 or 6 (not 8, so 2,3,4,5 or 7)
(7) AS = T+1
(8) F = T + 2 or T - 2
(9) AS = not 2, 5, or 7 ( so 1,3,4, or 6)
(10) M = 2, 5 or 7
(11) F = not 1 or 6 (2,3,4,5, or 7)

We note that D, T, and AS are all consecutive. Since F is 3 away from D and two away from T, F must be after AS, giving an order for four knights:
D,T,AS,F. (Using (2), (4), (7) and (8).)

We also have the combination of O, M somewhere, using (1), and E=8 using (5).

We note that if AZ is sixth, no knight can fit in location 7, so AZ must be first. (3)

Currently, we have:

AZ _ _ _ _ _ _ E.

We have to fit the two blocks of knights D,T,AS, F, and O,M in. This means either D is 2nd and O is 6th, or O is 2nd and D is 4th. If O is 2nd then M would be third, which is impossible by (10) so O must be 6th, and M 7th.

This gives the order: AZ, D, T, AS, F, O, M, E, using clues (1), (2), (3), (4), (5), (7), (8), (10).

Dayflame is also one of the last positions of knights you work out. Though this is probably always going to be the case because knowing Dayflame's position also gives you half of the other knight's positions pretty easily.

Can you do me a favor, though, and put your answer behind a spoiler in case anyone else wants to solve it?
You might want to either remove the quoted section or spoiler it yourself, BTW...
