I got problems with followers.

Right now, I checked that I have a new follower and when I check who he or she is, the system said "This User Doesn't Exist" and bro what?, then how he or she followed me. And creepiest part is when the alert said that I got a comment from a new follower, I tried to check what did he or she said but then, EMPTY. So it happened twice right now. Two days ago, it happened and I thought it was a error but now I'm taking it seriously. Admins and Authors, Do you guys have any ideas of it?

A bot/scammer who got deleted. They spammed the same message/comment to every person they started following, and one or more reported them before you had the chance to check.

Did you report them? Or why do you think they might be? Reported scammers are usually handled quickly in my experience.

Well, if they don't get reported, nobody will do anything about it. But if they were a scammer, chances are at least someone would report them.

Let me think and ask friends of mine if a follower who might be scammer belong to them. If yes, I won't because they are supporting me

Arkar.htin looks like a genuine reader. Erik900 on the other hand, is most likely a bot. 39 followed users since 11th December, no reading list, reviews or comments... likely just following people and sending DMs.

The best way to check for scams/bots is by checking the Lounge, accessible on the main menu. Any comments on profiles and profile posts can be seen there within the last few hours. If you see one user posting the same thing on various profiles, it's likely a "bammer". (bot/scammer) - or a "scot", but then a lot of Scottish people would be very offended. Let's go with bammer.

This is not meant to discourage you, but scammers often target new stories and stories that update frequently and don't have many readers/views.

They are targeting those people because they hope they are eager and desperate for new readers and probably assume they don't know how the "game" works, so their art scam spiel is more effective.

Of course, you could also just be unlucky, as I get two or three scammers a month as well.

I was approached quite a bit until I achieved "rising author". Now, total silence. Maybe it's a shield of some sort. *^^*
