Look, don't listen to this swordmaster guy. He is playing the role of a devil's advocate. As I said before, look into another thread. It's exactly like yours. It's called "Feedback on Other Platforms". The thing is, if you look at this situation at least a little bit, you will notice that the only people who talk about webnovel and similar sites in a positive way are their top authors and 'editors'. This 'swordmaster' may as well be a hired guy. He made an account a few days ago and only has a few messages. As people from webnovel, and goodnovel, don't care about the rules of a platform, it might be true. They use every method to promote their sites. They are self-promoting and trying to 'steal' novels. WebNovel has a VERY bad reputation, and it's for a reason. It's not like people suddenly started cursing them from out of nowhere. If you need something else to believe me instead of this guy, okay.
Here's my personal experience.
They offered a contract to me. But after I visited their discord and got some "help" there... I asked two questions. My first question wasn't answered at all. The other one was answered with something like this: "You are so stupid, go upstairs a few floors and walk out of the window." Newbie helpers who might as well work with underage authors wrote: "go k**l yourself" as an answer... Judge this yourself.
Perhaps it's only happened to me? I don't know. What I do know, that they are understaffed, and there is NO service there. They only help their top authors, and they don't give a shit about bottom-ranking authors. There is a rumor that they use bots to increase views. Also, your novel will be stolen by aggregator sites, even if it isn't popular. Also, the phrase: "They will keep 60-70% of rights." It's a freaking scam! What is a 60%? Who decides it? Don't sign the contract with sites that have a murky reputation. Use different sites for publicity without signing contracts. And later on, you will be able to decide what to do.
