How do you rate your own writing?

5 out of 10 because I suck enough to only write rarely

Probably around 4 or 5. I'm too used to writing in a webnovel format that the structure (and probably prose) of my writing doesn't fit for book publishing. So, yeah. Definitely not rating myself 6 above anytime soon.

Cant speak for others but I like my own writing.

I would not write if didnt think my writing was 10/10 to me.

6 out of 10—I think I'm getting the ideas and impressions I want across, but there's not as much depth as I'd like, which is a bit unsatisfying. I feel like I'm at least slightly above average.

I always get pissed off whenever the author doesn't update any of his work, only to realize that I am the person I am talking about.

But to put into proper perspective...

My writing style is simple and easy to pick up, worldbuilding is abyssmal(unless I write fanfics), dialogue (for a social failure, barely enough), the only interesting part is the concept and character development.

Overall, 6/10.

Let me get this straigth... We are here in SH, writing ... stuff. most people rate themselves 6/10 to 10/10... Ninja, no body in here is even a 7/10. Fosse is a 7/10 and has literature novel...
The good ones over here that are getting a contract for their work are at best 4-5/10. Everyone else is below that.

Would anyone reading it think it's a 7? No. Far from it. It's far too divise for that. Some people would likely rate it 2~3. But for some people, that same story is a 8~9.

No you are not, you are a 3 at best. What is wrong with you people? I am not discrediting your work, hell, is better than mine by a way long shot. I am just a 1 (couse It cant go lower). But we all have a lot to improve. We aint no shakespeare, none of us.

I kind of want to point out this a subjective view thingy here.
And I generally don't think people seeing their own work optimistically or being even proud ot it when you put a lot of work and time into it is a bad thing.

Also a 1 is averaging in my purely personal view as a not readable uninspiring slob of catastrophic proportions that might as well be written by a dislexic first grader.

Edit: a ten on this scale being a released pro writer (and not Edgar Allen Poe level but just having reached that point already). So everything beneath a 10 for me is a hobby writer. Again Personal opinion and not quite as requested but no harm done and no harm intended.

And I believe myself and never having read any of your stuff you are in fact a lot better then that according to this Standart. Or else you would not be able to string two correct sentences together.
