How do you organize your characters and ideas?

I use character tab in Scrivener.

I have a folder that shows the connection between different character, as well as how they feel about each other.

As for my idea, I have another folder with the words "Fuck it, we ball"

Depends on each person tbh. Actually I also did some visual arrangement to help to visualize what kind of plot I'm after, and put it later on Excel.

I make notes on Orange Paper. And yes, I have been asked more than once, if I will be making something like Origami with that paper.
But no, I use it for a project, and when the project is done with, I throw the paper away.

Pfff, imagine organising your characters and ideas rather than suddenly remembering details half way through chapters that would leave glaring plotholes if left unattended...

Wait, you all actually organize that? I have just been keeping them in my head and writing down bullet points for major scenes and ideas that effect the plot. Everything that can be changed, like character quirks and pointless world details just stays in my head until I write it out in the story.

I still need to do a timeline and a map...
I mean, I don't NEED to, but it will be a great help when more plot holes happen and I have a nice timeline to look, instead of reading everything again

If I write fantasy then I'll make a map but since I mainly write historical fiction, I just need to look up maps from whatever year I'm writing about. Timeline is a little awkward but I also write by the seat of my pants so timelines kind of make themselves. They are a great help but I rarely use them unless needed or as a reference.

the setting of my novel is a fictional country and each city/state and each district have a motif and if I accidentaly use the wrong one I'll explode or something

If it's random characters I don't care about them, they will disapear anyway in a few pages. If it's important character I write them in a file containing characters detail, like name, age, personality, appearance, etc
