Alright, let's assume you are all high-ranking generals at G-HACE (Grand Headquarters Allied Crossing Envoys).
Here is the current scenario:
The Varexil Empire has occupied half of the Zelparian Continent for ten years. However, three years ago, they failed a massive landing operation on the neighboring continent of Tuaria. That failure became the turning point for the Empire, which was previously dominant at sea. It all peaked a year ago when 70% of their naval fleet was annihilated in a decisive battle.
This is where your role begins. Since their naval dominance is broken, you have been appointed to the council of G-HACE. Your objective is to launch a counter-attack and liberate the nations of Zelparia. After studying the enemy's failed landing, you’ve learned exactly what to avoid and what mistakes not to repeat. You chose the eastern coast as the primary target because it’s their weakest point, far from their reinforcements and supplies coming through the Crescent Strait. Oh, and about that strait, it is still heavily defended by the Empire's natural fortress-like geography, where they’ve stationed the remaining 30% of their navy. Long story short, you have successfully secured your beachhead on the eastern coast.
After liberating three countries, what is your next move? How do you plan to push into the heart of the Empire? For now, there are two main options on the table.
Option A: Inland Strike
A direct thrust through the center of the vast mainland. Many are skeptical of this option, calling it too ambitious. Our forces would lose naval superiority and potentially air cover as well. This plan relies entirely on land supply lines which are extremely vulnerable and carries the risk of being flanked by the Empire’s Northern Army.
Option B: Southward Liberation (The Peninsula Campaign)
This is considered the more logical option because geographically we won't lose naval or air support. If successful, it will completely wipe out the enemy presence on the eastern coast. This would serve as a solid staging ground for the next phase and begin to disrupt the Empire's dominance over the Crescent Strait.
Now, how do you process this? Will you support the ambitious Inland Strike or the more cautious faction? Or perhaps you have a plan of your own?
Additional Intel:

Additional Intel:
- Q: What is the Empire’s general status?
A: They are facing a severe oil crisis due to our naval blockade. - Q: What about the Northern Army?
A: Their campaign has stalled due to past weather conditions and fuel shortages. The situation worsened when their Navy failed to secure the oil sources needed for their mobilization. - Q: Why not just land from the West and strike the Empire directly?
A: Nuts! There is nothing there to exploit as a foothold, and the sea conditions are completely unsuitable for an amphibious operation. - Q: Are we the "good guys" or the "bad guys"?
A: We are soldiers.
