I have a suggestion that I hope will be useful. This will only help if you are serious about writing. Take thirty minutes each day (or less if you like) and dedicate it solely to writing. Same time, every day, no excuses.

IF thirty minutes is too much, then start with less time.

what do you think?

Alright, I guess I'll try it.

Short stories are fun. Then, you could either try to connect them and subtly world-build or just use them as practice.

Listened to the music, it helped a lot. Also, tried to write things according to your mood or ideas, just started writing first. The impulsive part would naturally kick in and made your hand flew like the river!

i can totally relate to you, same thing happening to me.... You need a person to tell u to continue writing kek. XD Or it's likely not the right plot for you? Or not perfect enough or so?

I am really ADD, I can suffer the same issue, writing has helped with my PTSD, to help myself I write a bunch of things all at once. I also play multiple RPGs at once too, cause somethings things annoy me and I need to walk away, so I focus on something different. As I work on something else I get new ideas for what I was working on. Also sometimes just taking a break helps.

Thank you, I notice in life sometimes we get caught up or tripped up by something, or rather very tunnel vision with our ideas your thoughts, sometimes you just need to step back and realize you are only looking at a small section of the whole problem or wall.

I'm not impulsive, but i lost iterest quickly too. I didn't even plan to publish my first novel here, i just need to write my idea out and then i messed around with the buttons and published it accidentally.

Edit. I just. Accidentally. Post this. I haven't finished writing.

Anyway now i'm losing motivation to write the next chapter cause i feel like i need tor rach various standard. Word count, storyline, foreshadowing, character consistency... For a few days i've been rewriting 1 chapter & it hasn't reach 1k words.

For me, i wrote my ideas first on different website. If you have an impulse to write certain scene, write it. Any idea? Write it. We can always edit it to match the story, or come back later to it.

I lose interest quickly too and find it hard for me to do things long termed. Maybe it's just finding what gets you going? For me people, like me promising people things get me going.(weird huh.) I could like promise to upload a chapter in a few hours and I find myself being able to do that rather than making a more vague promise. But I think having people here support you just just views, comments or hearts is a very effective for me to get going. Sorry for not being very helpful :blob_drool: tbh my first few chapters were completely on impulse until i realized. Wait people actually read my stuff??? And decided to work hard from then on :blob_evil_two:

Maybe try an RP story? I've had friends who lack motivation try out RP stories. So basically you just RP with another person and then edit and fill in the plot for the story afterwards or something like that. I think writing with another person definitely keeps you motived and responsible for your writing!
