Has your story been copied to a Chinese site called Quiana?

Found out a guy on Royal Road has his story translated on that site without permission.

It's not Quiana, it's Qidian, the chinese version of Webnovel., it was originaly named like this too before they change it to Webnovel for the rest of the world.

And it's the same with chinese, korean and japan novel who got translated in english without permission.

Another one received the JP webnovel treatment
One of the things I do to prevent the Chinese from steal my novel is anti-China propaganda.
Lmao. Though it might look odd if your novel is fantasy based

I wouldn't say it's anti-Chinese per se, but a lot of the stolen versions of my story do stop when China enters the story lol... So it does work

You’d have an easier time making a transatlantic crossing on a skate board then enforcing a copyright dispute in China. No reason to worry about it, because there is nothing you can do.

I only care if they make money off it. If they are stealing it for free and giving it away for free, given how many free translations I have read over the years, I really am in no position to bitch. If someone is making MONEY off it, then I'm annoyed.

Just talk about the red terror from the thousand mile forest and the brutal dictatorship forcing its citizens into slavery and harvesting their organs all in the pursuit of hunny
All under the "leadership" of Xi Pooh

FR, only thing they don’t post is things that would make them disappear for a week or two.

Have you seen Webnovel? Anything that isn’t a fan-fic is pay-walled after 40-50 chapters even if the writer didn't want to.

Just a casual comment against communism will do as the reverse works well.

It's the writer who accept the "pay-walled" chapters and decide where to put it.
Yep chapters aren't locked unless the author contracts their work with webnovel. Reason fanfics aren't is because you can't contract a fanfic(I think fanfic of an already WN contracted story might be able to, but definitely not stuff where WN doesn't hold the rights)

Nope. I know many people who posted stories on there that took their story down and posted it in the fanfic section or just stopped posting on that site in general.

Then sorry for you, they lied to you.

I post on Webnovel too and I know a few who do it. The option to use the "pay-walled" open only when you get a contract with them.
