Same, as an author there that doesn't happen. Those people lied and just don't want to admit that they sold out and are forcing their readers to pay out of the nose for their story because they want to get paid.

I'm not a huge fan of WN or at least their company behind it/management, and they are a bit shady in their behaviours, but not that shady. They won't monetise your work without signing a contract with you to do so.
