Oh that, I think they meant that they can’t believe you enjoyed the open world.
Open world is the only way I can enjoy a game. Otherwise, I get flashbacks to a time before I transcended the Heavenly Dao; when it still tried to control my every move.

Bruh, I don't even want to talk to you about it for the nth time. The fact ER brought in new players doesn't mean anything since they are freaking casuals. They will keep asking for casual gameplay, and From will keep answering their needs. Because Namco owns them, and Namco wants money.
I don't think they're only appealing to casuals. FromSoftware still had optional bosses that were a challenge for seasoned players. And I already agreed that I didn't like it either.

I think new players entering a franchise is a good thing, so I hope they can make a game that both will love. There's nothing stopping them from making both type of games. They can make a commercial success and something new that will appease their other audience.

These conversations are good for making companies less complacent, but remember that they aren't perfect. Of course, your money speaks, and it's good you can exercise that right. Nobody is asking you to continue supporting products you don't agree with.

1. You’re right that new players entering is good. A franchise cannot sustain itself without new players. Eventually, players lose interest, and or die off. You need people constantly coming in.

2. Making both types of games can work, but it is a money issue as well. The amount they are willing to divert to make a profit. As a result, doing both might not be feasible. Which leaves them with one option.

A. Appeal to everyone and appeal to no one.

B. Appeal to one group to maximize profits and player retention.

Either way, this is what will be faced with in time.

I won't give them more money, I said it before. It's just, it hurts that a studio I liked so much turned into shit. Obviously I don't want people to support this change. I made this thread to make ER stans see that their idol is a crook. I don't want a crook to get rich and keep defiling a beloved studio.

Also, also, people defend FromSoftware for whatever reason when they follow the money, but they don't defend Ubisoft? Like, this is very much two-faced. They can shit on one thing, but can't on the exact same thing that a different studio does. Ptui.

they always tried to make cash, video games are products sold in the market, the aim is always to make money, the companies wouldnt invest in these developers if the game wasnt going to produce money
what's happening is that their audience has become so big and brain dead that they dont think they have to create quality anymore, or new things, reusing assets to make a "new game" because they know all of you fromsloppers will devour it
if anything, its your fault, you guys were the ones that created this elitist feeling about souls like that attracted more and more normies into "being special" after beating a souls like, this is why ER was so successful, it was the gateway for them to feel special like you guys
video games are video games at the end, getting overly attached to them is not good, write a novel instead and get attached to it, unlike video games, which are ultimately products you purchase made by a big company, your novel will be your child and nobody will be able to change it or destroy it against your will, this is a web novelist forum

Let’s just agree peeps like what they like. Before ya know it, there will be a bunch of paid micro’s, and it’ll fit right in. :blob_popcorn:

Jokes aside, I’ve cut many companies over the years. I can always take my business elsewhere.

Although their descent into garbage started from ER itself, their next game only showcases to the masses of fanatics the truth.
Shut the fuck up. I generally don’t get mad at a lot on the internet, but I absolutely will not stand for Elden ring disrespect. Easily the greatest game to release in decades and clowns who probably have under an hour in the game have the audacity to call it uninspired garbage. I hate the internet.

Okay, I can't tell if this is a joke or not. Personally, I don't like ER and find it a pretty bad game. Though, people like what they like. If this is an actual comment, then it is insanely unhinged.
