Ok, I will lay it out on full honesty. I am a full-time fan fiction writer that is the only person in my two people family that is making a living. I understand the reasoning behind what has happened, but is it possible for me to have a grace period until i can write a worthy original story?
This is me asking seriously as I have my Mom to take good care of.

You had 6 years of grace period before Tony finally said that breaking the law is not ok.

Yeah, that is true. I don't deny I have 6 years of grace period. The chief reason I continue with the course for such a long time has been because of me needing the necessary exposure.
I don't deny that I have been making use of the gray zone, and I would not deny that it has helped my Mom through her medical expenses and our rents for the last few years.
I respect Tony's decision, and I accept it with grace. I am just asking for a sincere opinions if I should invest more time in writing an original story, and is it ok for me to link the links to my original story in my two fanfics?
As I said, I still need to make a living.

You have to try out. Nobody will know if your Original will be popular or generate income. You can always advertise your Orginal in your FF and vice versa.

Look, I will stop clowning for a second and be real here. This decision Tony has made, I am willing to bet a vanilla icecream bar that he did it because he recieved a DMCA. He didn't just do it because he wanted to.

What this means, is that he literally can't give any grace periods, or else SH will be shut down. If he allows further monetization there is a chance either fanfics will be deleted altogether(which I think is still going to happen anyway) or the whole site will get in trouble and disappear.

Both things will lead to you losing SH permanently. If you have a loyal readerbase here, you will lose it. So in the long run it will be even more damaging to ask for grace periods and anything like that. I advise you to start writing original asap. It's not hard, and you will like it. You can also plagiarize, it's much harder to prove plagiarsim especially for a relatively small novel, no one will bother. Fanfics you can leave as a way to promote your originals.

Lastly, let's not pretend. I bet you and many other fanfic authors are still going to monetize your fanfics and abuse loopholes. Lik putting links in synopsis and chapters, swapping letters in those links that lead to pareon, ko-fi, or whatever else with different symbols and other crap that authors on WebNovel site use. If you are not like that, I'm sorry, but you will have to prove it with actions.

No no, you're speaking facts and I respect that.
I am, in fact, abusing loopholes right now because I literally can't write an original in time. Mom and I are forced to moving house right now because the neighbors are literal perverts!
I admit I will have to abuse the loopholes or at least three months, just to tide us through in our new home and to build a foundation for my story.
You speaking facts for me is what I appreciate as I need to know what to do and what NOT to do. And no, I wasn't being sarcastic.

You might be surprised how easy it is to switch. Part of my FanFic is 43 chapters of an OG world I made (well, a fanfic of an OG world I made and haven't published yet... don't ask), and it has actually been the most well-received part of my entire work yet.
