Not my novel but the protagonist of "The first demon of Mount hua" has a lame leg
Yes! ?does walking with a prosthetic foot count?
Does superiority count?
Like too much of an underestimation and in the end, their face got smashed?
RPing is something I’ve never really explored, so it’s interesting that you’re able to bring so many characters to life like that! Really cool—and a fun way to learn how certain things affect the characters you create. thanks for the reply ?Mmmmmmm... I'm working on a novel whose protagonist has a trauma, so I guess it counts as PTSD? I haven't started releasing it yet though.
I also kinda want to write a VRMMO novel whose main character is a paraplegic girl at some point, but I didn't even started drafting this one. It's just an idea that I have some basic plot points in my mind that I wanna explore later on.
Other than that, I've made a few roleplay characters that were either blind or mute, but for one reason or another they always ended up being scrapped quickly, much to my dismay... T.T
Ah, and I've made a character with severe brain damage at one point... I'm not sure if I portrayed the brain damage realistically tbh, since I never did any research on how exactly this kind of thing can affect a person, but it was quite fun to roleplay with her anyways... Sadly scrapped at one point because her RP parents quit the RP and it was a bit too hard to try roleplaying an 8 years old child with severe brain damage without her parents being around.
Oh, and I made an autistic character in a roleplay once. She was really fun to roleplay, and it wasn't even in the plans to make her autistic at first, but... As I started developing her, I was like... "Doesn't she have some sort of mental disorder? I think she has..." And after thinking about it for a while, I realized she totally fit into the autistic spectrum~
She was one of my favorite characters to roleplay ever... Sadly ended up needing to be scrapped due to some issues with the admins of the roleplay and some miscommunication regarding the rules back when she was being created... orz
I think those were all that I tried playing with? I think it's interesting to try working with characters with all kinds of interesting limitations, but I haven't explored it that much in novel writing. It's something I mostly explored in roleplays~
Oh, forum roleplays are pretty fun! They're kinda like novel writing, but you only control a single character instead of the whole world! So it has a different dynamic to writing novels!RPing is something I’ve never really explored, so it’s interesting that you’re able to bring so many characters to life like that! Which one is bipolar, exactly? For characters with mental disabilities daybreak on hyperion might be a good one to check out. One of the characters is bipolar.
Psychological trauma not necessarily equals PTSD. It vastly depends on psychological resilience. And even if person is not sufficiently resilient, PTSD is only one of many different probable complications.I'm working on a novel whose protagonist has a trauma, so I guess it counts as PTSD?
Pascal's fiance.Which one is bipolar, exactly?

Princess Sylviane? I never noticed.Pascal's fiance.
Ooooooooh, got it, got it~Psychological trauma not necessarily equals PTSD. It vastly depends on psychological resilience. And even if person is not sufficiently resilient, PTSD is only one of many different probable complications.
She has mania followed by depression. I think that is textbook bipolar.Princess Sylviane? I never noticed.
Yes, it is. I simply don't remember it. (To tell the truth, I dropped it at 3d or 4th chapter of the third book, maybe, I did not even get to it...)She has mania followed by depression. I think that is textbook bipolar.
It might be a stretch but the main character might be an example of Stockholm syndrome.Yes, it is. I simply don't remember it. (To tell the truth, I dropped it at 3d or 4th chapter of the third book, maybe, I did not even get to it...)
No way..lolEveryone's a dumbass if that counts for mental.
