Started unpacking. Need to catch up on sleep. Car troubles kept us away from home for 10 hours longer than we anticipated, and then I had to keep Husband awake for the rest of the drive. Also, we saw one bed bug at a hotel, and now we're sanitizing all the clothes and other soft things we took on the trip with heat to kill any eggs that might have wound up among our belongings.

put up another string of lights, cleaned the house, prepared food, helped cohost a party and took care of dogs

Let the kid play in the dirt while I handled some unpacking/sorting stuff to be decontaminated. Kid got dirty. I gave him a bath and washed his shoes.
