Cats can take care of their hygiene, dogs are capable of protecting.
If I'm in between harmony(cat) and danger(dog) might as well be both.
Like having a farm full of sheep, one is the cudliest and the other a comrade takes care of your back.
Rats or vermins and snake or crocodile, each has their own pros and cons.
