I have a theory that cats were somehow able to use the Toxoplasma gondii parasite to infiltrate the human psychospace and implant lots of pro-feline concepts and ideas, which over time cemented themselves into strange quirks in humanity. Ever since the ancient Egyptians, there has been some cult-like feverishness in the cat enthusiasts of the world. ?

I feel like all words like scrimblo, skrunkl, bingleton, chungles, yoinky, boingo, noodly, sognar, stinker, cheebs, borzoi... etc., etc., come from the interaction between inherent feline silliness and the way humans contextualize the information fed to their brains. Essentially, the brain tries to apply patterns to the weird randomness coming from Felinus cattus, and strange, nonsensical phrases come out as a result.
