Beware the artist scammers

I just had one recently that i'm gonna be reporting.

Had one. Have no money and their style was wrong for the work they claimed to be inspired by so I just ignored them... :D

Quite often yes. In the inbox and even in the comments now that I’ve started ignoring the inbox.

If you see these people in your comments, report them. If they are giving you complements in your DM before asking you to commission them, report them.

Some of them are bots. They add me to discord, always with the same greeting, then they want you to look at their gallery.

yeah.... they're getting sketchier too.... Had like two of them that actual read my story and even mentioned specific parts them liked. Then while I talking to them they slowly ease the conversation to "hey so I was thinking it'd be great if I could do some visuals for your story." It happened twice and I'm like okay, did they even actually like my story or were they just trying sell me their pitch more convincingly? I just told them I was broke... which isn't untrue.

Same. It was nearly the last chapter for me.

These mooks have been appearing on Fanfiction and fictionpress for a year. As of now, the admins got off their asses to do something about it.

The last time I commented on one of these scammers, their group started trolling and review bomb my work lol. There are some very old users here on SH with thousands of comments and points, working with them. So, just block and ignore them unless you want to get spammed and trolled by them. They are all over fanfic site and now here.
