Any authors here who have written their story out of spite here? like you just took a good look at this site and see no stories match your taste so you just decided to make one of your own? how did it go?

Don't think I've ever written anything out of spite, really. I tend to just write out of curiosity to find out what the heck's gonna happen next.

We are brothers and sisters about this. Most of us, at least.

Not in regards to this site, but in regards to all of literature, yes.

Systems' Out! and the whole Sunspot Chronicles is written specifically because there are so very few books out there with more than one plural system in them, and with those systems as the heroes.

We wanted something where someone with DID or OSDD or who is an endogenic non-disordered system could be browsing through the science fiction section of wherever there might be books and come across it and say, "Holy shit. Is this really just a sci-fi novel with someone like us in it?" And then look more closely and realize that it is.

It'd be cool to get it traditionally published and get the distribution from that, but that's not happening. So, it's online for free, so it can easily be passed around between those that need it.

Not really out of spite, but I don't think there's much on here in the style I like. To be fair though, everything I read is like super old. I try to write in that old, pretentious European style since I like reading it

I definitely write gender bending stories that are more than just fluff and fetish material as a fuck you to a lot of that subculture and that I can actually tell interesting stories with the subject

Yeah. I think it went alright. I got burnt out balancing daily releases with work around 3/4ths of the way in, so I don't think it came out as good as it could have.

It was a success in my words

Not spite so much as I saw others doing it and eventually decided I wanted to try doing it my way. I suppose that would fall more under being inspired than being spiteful.

Though my dedication to see the story through to the end definitely did come from spite, as I was sick and tired of coming upon excellent stories, rejoicing mightily, settling down to read, ...and coming upon a cliffhanger that never got resolved because the author stopped writing three years ago.

I couldn't find good realistic isekai in any site. So I wrote one myself.

It did well. Signed a contract for 3 books.
