I'm a writer, and this platform has become an essential part of my journey. Over the years, I’ve built a reputation with numerous accounts featuring original novels and translations, collectively drawing in over thousands of readers. Everything had been progressing smoothly—I even launched Patreons that quickly gained traction, with loyal supporters pledging regularly. This milestone allowed me to contribute financially to my family, reshaping my image from a once introverted, homebound, and somewhat lazy student into a dependable and responsible member of the household.
But what I once thought was stable ground has started to feel like the calm before a storm. While I won’t disclose exact figures, my earnings have been significant enough to surprise my family—to the point of arousing suspicion. Writing is often viewed as a low-income pursuit, and given that I haven’t yet graduated, my steady income has raised eyebrows. The real challenge, however, is on the horizon: my brother, who recently completed his graduation, will be returning home in a matter of days. He’s expressed curiosity about my work and wants to see firsthand how I’m earning this income.
This presents a serious dilemma. While I could show him one of my Patreon accounts that doesn't include any R18 content, the withdrawal history from that account alone wouldn't account for the total amount I’ve earned. The discrepancy would undoubtedly raise questions. On top of that, some of my novels contain a fair amount of strong language and mature themes. If any member of my family—my brother, my sisters, or, worst of all, my parents—were to see even a single profane word or an explicit scene, it would spell disaster. My brother might keep it discreet, but if my sisters see anything questionable, it’s game over. My parents would be informed, and the fallout would likely include days of tense silence, followed by constant scrutiny about my work.
These are the worst-case scenarios I’ve played out in my mind—scenarios that, given the current situation, feel frighteningly plausible. While in reality, my brother isn't returning and my family’s suspicions are an imagination of mine for now, but the possibility of someone accidentally stumbling upon my work looms over me. If that ever happens, will I be able to weather the storm, or AM I TRULY SCREWED?! Also is there anyone else in the same condition as me
