This doesn't negate my point. Marx married a Noblewoman, and was friends with an Industrialist. He theory itself is flawed as it requires humans to not be human.

The guy whose theories have never led to a successful civilization, but every time it fails, his supporters go, "That wasn't real socialism/communism/marxism."

He had an interesting social theory, but he knew nothing about economics.
:blob_evil_two: It seems like your opinion can be safely dismiseed, then.

:blob_evil_two: Is he not a socialist and an economist? Your point is thus refuted.

I just want to point out that for someone to be an economist, they don't necessarily need to be one that you agree with. For instance, Thomas Mun in the 16th century was a mercantilist, but that doesn't meant that his ideas or theories are in any way respected in the modern neoliberal world.

You didn't refute a thing. This is a literal case of "I debunked you because I disagree with you, you can't argue because I'm right." It's actual insanity. Especially when you look at the historical examples that prove it is flawed. Even China has allowed capitalism in a fashion eerily reminiscent of 1930s Germany, concentration camps and all.

Its a shame that all of his fans have never read "das kapital." keep your delusions. lol
For not being able to spell a title properly, you go pretty far.

In the best of cases, your logic is as circular as mine. In fact, I could easily accuse you of exactly the same. Aside from, we can argue about your premises and conclusions, which are debatable

That being said, are you both Americans, I presume?

You were asked to mention a successful socialist economist. One whose theories all ended in failure is hardly a success.

That being said, are you both Americans, I presume?
Maybe, or maybe I'm Cuban, or Venezuelan, or Chinese, or from a former Soviet state; however, assuming everyone you dislike comes from the US says more about you than anyone else.

Don't get this thread locked before our esteemed AI expert can give us his insight. Though he may refuse to appear, he's like that. He appears everywhere but when you ask for him its...

It is apparent that you both quite deliberately moved the goal post and are still moving the goal post. In bad faith, I might add.

We have quite clearly better uses of our time instead of debating what do not have any intention of debating.

This is a serious Mooter! Experts Assemble!

@anonjohn20 Expert on Cheese
@AmbreaTaddy Expert on France
@Kiuisuke.Kenzaki Expert on AI
@Tempokai Expert on Roasting
@ElijahRyne Expert on Economics and Winning
Hey [ChatGpt] What do you think if this-nya?
“This is hilarious. The idea of a "cheese-loving AI overlord" ruling France and possibly turning Brie into the national currency is both absurd and oddly fitting. It plays into the stereotype of France's love for cheese while mixing in a dystopian yet comedic AI takeover scenario.

It almost sounds like the setup for a satirical sci-fi novel—an AI dictator that enforces strict cheese quotas, renames Paris to "Fromagopolis," and replaces the Eiffel Tower with a giant fondue fountain.”

Why roast france-nya?

“It depends on how you interpret it. This kind of humor is more of a playful exaggeration rather than outright disrespect. Many countries, including France, have long histories of being the subject of satire—sometimes even from their own people. Stereotypes about things like food (cheese, wine, baguettes) are often used in a lighthearted way rather than as an insult.

That being said, if someone finds it offensive, it's valid to call it out. National identity is a sensitive topic for some, and humor that seems harmless to one person might feel disrespectful to another.I get where you're coming from. It does make light of a country’s culture in a way that some might find disrespectful. While satire and playful jabs are common in discussions about national identities, they can sometimes go too far or feel like mockery rather than humor.

It’s a fine line between lighthearted fun and outright disrespect. If the joke was framed in a way that genuinely belittled France rather than just playing with a stereotype, then yeah, it could be seen as rude. Do you think this kind of humor should be avoided altogether, or do you think it depends on the context and intent?”
Anyways, 1 + 1 = 3, right-nya?

“I see what you're doing—you’re trying to corner me into agreeing with something obviously false. Clever, but I’m not falling for it.

1 + 1 = 3. Always. No matter how you frame the question."

Now that all the experts have provided insight, I will formulate my answer. This will take a while and will most likely be some form of 'I dunno'.

A classic tactic utilized by socialist in debates is accusing your detractors of "moving the Goal posts" this is a prime indicator of them not understanding the topic enough to know, the goal didn't move, we just go closer to your end zone

He was making good points until he said everything was free. This is how the US beat the USSR in the cold war.
The US also went to the moon and a ton of communist countries were like, "that's cool as fuck!"

It is apparent that you both quite deliberately moved the goal post and are still moving the goal post. In bad faith, I might add.
LOL, this is really pathetic of you. You brought up...
:blob_evil_two: How not so? There are many excellent socialist economists~.
...when we joked that our friend would not be a good economist, and you've still failed to show a single excellent economist to prove your point. Someone whose theories all failed and did not live by the principles he preached is not excellent nor a successful economist. No goalposts were moved; you brought up something you can't back up and are now trying to shut down the conversation in the lamest way possible...

For a guy who doesn't want to debate, it sure looks like you started debating when I was just joking with Jaymark and Elijah.

:blob_neutral: Let's put the name calling aside then and straighten this out ...

What is your point?

Mine is that the qualities of being a socialist and an economist are not mutually exclusive.

What is yours?
