I believe that two people can dedicate themselves to a partner, without 'needing something on the side'.
I also find cheating to be abhorrent, I could not possibly imagine doing that to someone.
Totally agree with you on this. From my experience, if I really—like I mean really really—lose interest in my gf, then I’ll just dump her. I’ll tell her honestly about how I feel, and then we can move on.
Those are what I consider puppy loves. I was young and didn’t think about the serious relationship back then.
But now that I grow up, I don’t want to date around anymore.
I don’t cheat on my girlfriend—never done that and never even thought about it—when I’m in a relationship, I always keep a best friend dynamic with her—not platonic, but best-friend dynamic—we can talk about anything with each other just like best friend, and I never have doubts that my gf will ever cheat on me.
I mean, if it does happen, then that’s that, nothing I can do about it. But I never worry about such things at all.
I don’t know where I get this kind of confidence from, but I always believe that I’ll have the ability to keep the attraction and connection alive. When you‘re truly connected with someone, only you and that person exist in this world; it’s like you two are wrapped around in a cocoon and no one else can get in there.
Shit....this means I'm get some push back then. I introduce 2 female characters to my MC, and he likes both for different reasons but doesn't pursue them though I hint at his interest and that they reciprocate. Except....one is kidnapped by bandits as a "trophy" though I don't include any scenes of what happens after she is captured so I suppose it's left to reader imagination. The other one is her commanding officer in the military, eventually she captured by her obsessive CO, who after defecting to one of the numerous enemy sides, has her "demonized" (just a different kind of hypnotize), that strips her of her humanity and leaves her a obedient puppet of his due to him completing the mission he was given during his defection. Again, I don't have any scenes making it blatantly obvious what he intends, though I suppose it is still obvious to anyone who pays attention.
So......apparently I do fade-to-black NTR and didn't even realize it. MC will eventually have harem of 4, but they are never taken away though they are injured severely on numerous occasions. One is kidnapped but this leads to a nasty conflict that ends in a hostage exchange. But yeah...
So fade-to-black NTR is a thing then?
if so, I';ve been doing it for a while and had no idea.
Maybe you’re right, (ahem…bastard), but even if that’s not the case, it’s still kind of sad, though. Feel bad for all those girls. I really hate limit freedom, you see.
