Add the "Arc Category" for separating group of chapters to make it easily identifiable.

This is the example how it looks like when separating chapters from arc to arc without naming an arc in every chapter title. I want this feature to execute within the Table of Contents. It would be easier to let the readers identify the arc and shorten the chapter title.

I am guessing that Tony is following the KISS rule: Keep It Simple, Stupid.

In reality, books don't have arcs. They're usually added as afterthoughts.

When people write essays, they think of an appropriate title after composing the essay. People who formulate the title first shackle themselves and stunt the possible growth and direction of their essays.

While some readers binge read, authors here tend to trickle their releases regularly or sporadically.

Current arc titles should be empty unless authors want to chain themselves and possibly write themselves into a corner. It's like trying to forcefully fit your foot into a readymade shoe in contrast to comfortably crafting one that will fit nicely.

I'm neither for nor against the feature.

I don't think I would agree the KISS rule. Even if it must be applied, most authors would titled it specifically for a proper description. Either be a short phrase or one word... it might cause a chaotic relevance in a certain chapter.

weakwithwords have something there. Books rarely use the Story Arc structure. They are more often designed to be series of books. It also just doesn't make sense to structure books that way.

Arc structure is more often found in manga. The structure fits them better considering its more sprawling narrative and lack of ending (until they decide to end it). They are designed to run as long as possible, something that Story Arc structures can provide.

Still, it would be great if there is a capability to organize the chapters, more to make it easier to navigate and organize than any reason. I mean, those are really neat and useful stuff.

Lets do it!
I don't necessarily think this should be added for arcs, but I would absolutely support something being added to split chapters up into books/volumes.
authors can do it for arcs or books/volumes. its their choice

I support this feature lol.

At least it'll remind readers what is what "Arc" or "Volume" instead of not having unsorted chapters lol.

Tony confirmed he won't do this because it ruins the look of the current chapters
That's kinda sad, I was hoping if that will benefit the navigation since chapter titles are kinda look bothersome and messy for now. Daily Chapters in a mere "Chapter Label" are pain in the ass for some reason, and we can't identify what kind of plot we're getting at, but I guess Tony can be the same as us, lazy and simple to make it hard.

I don't really see this as an issue. Won't readers read Arc 1 or Vol 1 before going to the second? Not like anyone is going to skip the first arc for the second.
If this is for bookmarking, that already exists. (not sure if that's what its called though.)

Personally as a reader I prefer simple "Chapter 5: The morning" format. I don't really bother with which arc I'm at. Also a chapter title "Vol 1 Arc 3 Chapter 5 : The morning" is unnecessary

I don't always read in a linear fashion. I'm very much aware that I'm an edge case so I have never expected websites to accomodate my quirk. I could code myself a specialized tracker, but I'm too lazy ... and poor enough to make it an endeavor not yet worth pursuing.

If you give tony suggestions on how it might look good, he might change his mind.
