My current project reached 30680 words! I am so happy! It is the longest project which I have written in a while! Wish me luck, I think I will finish this one! =)
Will do! My target is 400k! (I want the longest Hetalia Bulgaria fic to be a Bultine fic! He is shipped with Romania, but I think that the Hetalia Bulgaria x Hetalia Byzantine Empire ship is better, more of a push and pull dynamic if I have to be honest. It will probably not be the longest fic on AO3 because there is this Chinese Russia x China fic which is 2.5M words long, but I will write that ending!)Congratulations.
Now write 69420 words. ??
Make your target 420k, even if it means you add 20k "really" in the last 10 chapters. This definitely will not annoy any of your existing readerbase (source: trust me). Will do! My target is 400k! Most qi-deviated author vs Most sane fanfiction writerthere is this Chinese Russia x China fic which is 2.5M words long, but I will write that ending!)
That is amazing! I think that is about the total of all of my books together! Congrats!my oldest novel and most long running one reached over 4 million words recently
?400k
It helps me stick to the project. I will probably not reach the goal, or write more than needed, but it is good to have it. =)?
Why have a target word count? Why not write the story and leave it at the word count the "story" demands?
There are times when an author gets carried away by the story/chapter he/she writes. Having a target word count helps in minimizing such incidents, and divides the work nicely into several 'easy-to-digest' parts.?
