you can very much live as your character, or read about similar situation in other novel, or as for last resort put a plot twist, for example if it is in a fantasy novel fight, maybe the presence of something in the terrain around them that the mc didn't notice will change the fight path a little

well, I cannot be very useful, as I my writing make people feel the character, not cry with it, but I think you can use some sentences to describe the atmosphere, or imagine a picture of it like instead of "descending a stone stairs" you can write " reaching the bottom of the cold stone...

it is true that some of my future chapters are inspired by some songs or even other animations, but after some time thinking of it I end up with a different story to the song, but they are related somehow

don't try to experience it too much as, no matter what it is hard to get the same circumstances as a character, it is way better to read other novels about similar characters, and taking notes of different actions and reactions of them to the similar situation, hope this will be useful for you
