If I have to leave a loose end... then no. I might sound naive, there should be at least one thing in each chapter worthy of a small discussion. The readers might just lurk and enjoy the work, perfectly fine with that. There is no obligation for them to comment or start a conversation based...

What if there no comments the author can participate in or initiate a conversation with? I got like ~10 maybe even fewer comments in the first few chapters, then it slowly went silent. And the readers dropped by about ~50%.

I find a little bit of myself in your comment, gotta admit. RTS and action RPG's I've avoided for a while since they get addictive after the first few hours. I mostly play World of Warships on my PC besides writing on it. And alternate it with my Phone for some cute Ship Girl fun in Azur Lane.

Old, but gold. I personally play Azur Lane, it is a gacha shoot'em Game. It's very cute and it keeps my mind off of the stress of everyday life. I could even say that it saved my life when I found it. @Valmond Genshin Impact, still play today. It is good to see other people play it as well...
