Pretty sure it's that when reading a fan-fiction, the world is already established so you don't need to focus on understanding what the world's like and just the story. But when reading something original, you'd have to imagine up the world that the author is trying to convey from the beginning.

One of my intentions was absolutely for recommendations heh. Story is interesting so I'll read it (tmr because it's now 2330 over here).

I'm still actively following three of them, but I can't seem to find anything new interesting. How do I deal with this situation?

The dead are dead, just let them be. Also, there will always be the chance that said person will not want to be back to living anyway, or they cannot accept the sacrifice that was made. Thus, they might fall into depression or commit suicide, and all of those sacrifices will be wasted.

Those are sometimes the people who write "If you don't like it, don't read" in the bottom. And guess what? I didn't read.
