Is writing a 'science' or 'art'

Writing is a "craft" and storytelling is an "art." Or perhaps when you meld them together they become an art. Hard to say.

Would You Want to Become Your Book?

Sweet story idea. Might have to write this as a living-dungeon-type story.

What tips would you give new authors?

Or skip this and keep writing while trying not to make the same mistakes over and over until you get to a place where you don't need to rewrite at all. ?

    Scribble Hub Appreciation

Scribblehub feels like Royal Road back in the day. I like it, and people are pretty friendly over here.

    How fast can you write?

I generally write about 1,500 words an hour and I write until I hit 3,000 words (12 manuscript pages) to keep myself writing at pulp speed, which is a million words a year. Rewriting is for chumps.

Something you 100% believe in author do but dont admit

And don't forget other craft nonsense, like "Writing is rewriting." Nonsense.

    The Beauty of Incomplete Stories

Interesting post. Technically short fiction is incomplete. But I see it more as the story living on. Yes, it's unfinished, assuming it got started in the first place, and it lives on in your mind, all the possibilities, etc.

Is it healthy to use ChatGPT for an ego boost?

If you use AI to write, then you're lower than "hack writer" status. Dump that ****.

    Ummm...

If your story isn't about legitimizing racism, then there shouldn't be a problem at all. Write your story.

    Am I the only one?

He's trash. His books read like anime, his humor is childish, he bashes the reader over the head with is modern principles of morality and his books are just too long and padded. Another thing I don't like is that he doesn't write magic, he writes pseudo science. I guess the LitRPG slop readers...

Advice that is useless. A collection.

Indeed! But I would add, at least for myself, read genres you think you aren't interested in. You will learn a lot.

    We need more pirates! >:(

Go look up The Windsteppe Princess and the Amalfi Magician on RR. It's a pirate story I wrote. It's a romance, a bit spicy, but good. And a fantasy. Not RR cup of tea, but I got a few readers who liked it. One said she read it in one sitting. It's 30,000 words, about a hundred pages.

Thoughts on trying out character clothing irl to see if it is practical

I'd say it doesn't matter. Think about anime that's been turned into live action. Often it just doesn't work, it's too cheesy, too unrealistic, to unbelievable in every way, And yet you can suspend your disbelief with anime. It's the same with writing. You can do things in writing that would...
