What's a hill you 100% die on? (Please refrain from political subjects)

The fact that Subway needs to hurry up and close. They are a freaking terrible company. Spend the most for the worst food ever. I've seen some shops with their ham turning green. Yoga mat bread and "eat fresh" - obvious lies...I hate the company and food. I prefer Stargate SG1 personally.

    Prophecies and Poems!

I have to catch up anyways. I am in the middle of writing my chapter 8, but will happily read it over the next few days - if that's cool?

    Equipment quality for LitRPG/Adventure genre

I personally think Dungeons and Dragons does it perfectly fine. You get a starting currency, then a basic list of equipment you can purchase. After that, it's up to the "level" progression you are lining for. What difference does it make in the short term of the character has longsword vs a...

    Promoting my Novel Boundless Gods

Just ignore the thread and don't look at the book page. I agree, I don't get the sense of bullying. Just telling the author what they apparently don't want to hear. I took a look and I know exactly what the others are saying. I do wish them luck.

Writing I think I wrote myself into a corner

Just because he has a photographic memory and supernatural recall, doesn't mean he necessarily wants to improve it. Why bother reading or learning until he absolutely needs to? Which at that point, it might be too late. Just because a person can do something, doesn't mean they will. You...

    Things I've learned so far.

My chapters are between 7-9k each, so I never get five chapters ahead. I have my editing team read it section by section as I am doing it, and they catch most errors before the final edit. Which brings me do my point of the reply :) If I were you, I would find a friend that loves reading your...

What are your thoughts on using IRL historical figures in fiction?

My own pirate Ruby One-Eye is not the least bit moral. She's got her own twisted sense of honor, even among thieves. I do like that you are changing the characters from history a bit. That means you're even more safe. It's going to be your character with a historical influence.

What is the general opinion about Royal Road?

I can't use it, I write erotica. From the way it's setup and their guidelines, I personally wouldn't use them.

What are your thoughts on using IRL historical figures in fiction?

I used Joan of Arc in Vivienne. If you want to use them, go right ahead. People use them all the time. Look at Outlander. Look at all the period pieces on Netflix. They've even covered Queen Elizabeth. You're pretty safe. In fact it's kinda cool you're using pirates. In a very strange...

    The journey

I started in earnest in high school. I was mostly writing about forbidden love, since in 1984 was not the best time to come out to everyone that you are a lesbian. I did it anyway, and based on that experience that formed my first set of novels. Secondary to that is the fact I'm mute. I've...

What is the game you have played the most?

World of Warcraft. Since 2006. I don't have a clue how many hours, but it's ungodly.

What genres of music do you listen to while writing/reading?

Since I use lots of music references in my books, I tend to hear the music in my head or even put that particular song in Spotify while I do the scene.

Is it a smut story if the characters did not enjoy the activities?

I'd be careful about saying "young boy". Make it very clear if that lifeform has taken on any shape, it needs to be clear that it is imitating someone that is 18 or older. Don't take the chance. Beyond that, the are two content ratings. If sex isn't the focus and just happens time to time -...

Its not LitRPG, how to call it.

I've heard of exactly one in that list. I've only really played D&D, Shadowrun, Dark Conspiracy and VtM. Each of them has their own way of doing things, so when I gave my advice I tried to consider the many forms of RPG rulesets that I'd used prior. Thanks for the advice!

Its not LitRPG, how to call it.

While it's not your typical format of LitRPG, based on how you've described it, I'd use LitRPG. I mean you have a skill based RPG, which is seen tons of. In many ways D&D has turned into a skill based game. ( Meaning since 3rd edition skills have played a huge role) Unfortunately I'm not...

What is the oldest game you have downloaded but still haven't played?

The games were made in the 80s and reformatted for now. They're are a trilogy. The bard's tale. I did 1 for nostalgia, but stopped before the first big puzzle of the bard's tale 2 and haven't gone back. So a couple of years now? 3 at best.

    Gabrielle's Creative Corner Cafe!

I've been asked a few times to publish Vivienne. I didn't make my book to sell it really. It's why I'm hosting it for free. I love that there's interest, but I prefer to be low key and keep reading free. ? I figured you were closer to the situation. Since it's out of your own head, maybe...
