You should remove "shounen-style protagonist" cause it mean nothing at all since they are all different, if you only read about dumb shonen protagonist, maybe you should try to question yourself about your reading list. For the dumb protagonist, I'm good with it since it exist tag like cunning...

Thanks for all your answer, I tend to prefer to read race instead of species, so I think I will stay with race, except if I have a science part in my story where I need to use the right word.

After the feedback I got from the little chicken, I started to edit some of my chapters and one things I changed was races into species, I know that "species" is the right word to use, but still, I think races suit better, maybe due to the number of books who use it, like tolkien for exemple...

It depend the quality, but if the price is 5$, pay him 5$ except if he really, REALLY, good. Depending of the drawing and the quality, most commission start at 100$.

How the magic work in your story? Is it by a mana circuit inside the body? If so you can use this to one of them. Having the mana circuit shaped into a demonic one. If the demon was a single species, instead of regrouping all type of monsters, the curse may have been more easily to create.
