    Can anyone?

I think there should be some sort of minimum standard for the number of chapters that are worthy of review. Stories that are too short are too early to be reviewed. Many stories with tens, even hundreds of chapters, haven't even received reviews yet.

Which type of antagonist do you prefer: the moral antagonist or the villain antagonist?

The main novel I'm currently working on in volume 3 features a conflict between an antihero protagonist and a moral antagonist (hero). They both strive to uphold justice, but their paths differ. The main protagonist uses the law of blood to execute criminals mercilessly. Meanwhile, the moral...

Which type of antagonist do you prefer: the moral antagonist or the villain antagonist?

Which Type of Antagonist do You Prefer: the Moral Antagonist or the Villain Antagonist? The antagonist is a character who opposes the main character (protagonist) in a story. Ethically, the antagonist can be categorised as the villain antagonist and the moral antagonist. The villain antagonist...

[CLOSED] No one wants to review your story? Here I am!

All my novels are connected within one universe and one overarching theme (the battle of ideologies). So, reading one novel will ultimately connect to the others. Although my writing hasn't yet connected everything coherently. This is still in its early stages. I design my writing as a long-term...

[CLOSED] No one wants to review your story? Here I am!

Are you kidding me? If not, check out my novel. Thank you. Note: My novel is still under development. In addition to regular updates, I'm also working on rewriting chapters from Volume 1 to bring the writing standards up to par.

    Writing How to gauge engagement?

Most SH readers are silent readers. It's very difficult to measure their active engagement. But you can identify their presence through views, favorites, bookmarks, last reader visits, and comments (if any). To increase interaction with readers, you can create author notes and provide polls in...

What's the most important part of a fight scene?

For me, symbolism is the most important part of a fight scene. Every battle carries a philosophical meaning about the clash of ideologies. Therefore, the characters' punches, kicks, and slashes aren't just meant to injure or kill their opponents, but more importantly, to uphold their ideological...

    Requesting writing advice.

From your synopsis, your story seems dark and heavy. To provide a warm emotional pause, a place for readers to breathe before diving back into the dark world, I usually give my protagonist a SoL chapter. SoL usually consists of a chapter about the protagonist's daily life with their family. My...

What do you imagine the future to be like for your characters after your main story ends?

If we use the trope of fictional endings, there are many types of fictional endings, with a happy ending being just one of the most mainstream. There are tragic endings, like the tragic ending and the bittersweet ending. There are also very gloomy endings, like the downer ending. There are also...

What do you imagine the future to be like for your characters after your main story ends?

Are you trying to bait us (the authors) into giving away major spoilers? Sorry, I won't fall for your thread's bait.

Recommendations Looking for novels that are written in non English but then author translates it to English.

Have you ever heard of the fiction "Gospel of Blood?" It's a dark fantasy novel from China with a similar vibe to LOTM. Unfortunately, the novel already has an English translation and is updated on NU. But I haven't seen it translated and published on SH.

Feedback Exchange – Let’s Review Each Other

The novel's title and premise are quite promising, but the prologue is 17 chapters long—too long, my friend. If you're explaining lore, it's best to do it slowly, rather than immediately revealing it in the prologue.

    Book Cover Doubt

Oh... that's great. I respect the characters' closed appearance and tend not to differentiate between fictional characters and real people. Wearing closed clothing is a way to maintain human dignity.

What Works Best In Fantasy Romance Genre?

I can't give you any advice. I tend to write characters as aromantic. Instead of romance, I substitute sibling and familial relationships. So the drama is born from those relationships.

    Book Cover Doubt

I've noticed that most popular novels with non-anime covers were written in 2022 or earlier. I don't know why they became so popular; perhaps back then, SH users weren't as widespread as they are now, so reading options were limited. But now, anime covers have become an unwritten law, as if...
