There's no golden standard for these things. As a reader I do prefer longer chapters of 3k+. But, as writer it will be more advantageous of you to post lesser wordier chapters(assuming the story is not affected) since you will get more exposure that way. You also need to think of your...

I think it's because as a male it's inherently hard to write a female protagonist. That's why it's easier to just make it a man in a females body. Vice versa I guess. Hard for females to write a male protagonist.
