How much is accepted in romance pairings?

There are a ton of stories and fanfics dedicated to falling in love with robots and/or AI. I don't think it's an off-putting pairing at all.

And of course all those people think I really give a shit about what they have to say. @HURGMCGURG But the floor is comfier. Plus you don't have to...

[Event - Closed] Sappho's Spinning Wheel: A Yuri Garden Collaborative Anthology Event

Don't worry, one can never ask too many questions~! You don't have to message me privately to reserve your tale, but you can, if using PMs is just easier in general. A tale and a link is indeed all you need to start yourself off~!

The things you dislike in writing (joke answers recommended)

When you know what you're trying to write in your head, but actually writing it feels like a cat trying to play the piano. When you think you've written a very intense romantic scene but, when you go back and read it, it turned out they, like, shared a glance for two seconds or something. When...

[Event - Closed] Sappho's Spinning Wheel: A Yuri Garden Collaborative Anthology Event

It's hard to say. Last time, most stories were around the 4500 word mark, but we had some stories pushing 10,763 words. SH worked out that the average word count for each entry in the last anthology was 6477.

You need to keep the original story as your guide, so readers should be able to trace the original plot through your adaptation, even if you've changed how and why it happens, or have taken bits out. If you look under "example adaptations" on the rules page, I tried to describe adaptation...

Ah, I'm the opposite. I read the tags before I even bother looking at the summary.

Stories with summaries as the title

BL is definitely a genre. It has its own tropes that are completely set apart from hetero romance, people who go looking for it want to really feel the BL, and the BL will change the entire approach to the plot. Plus its audience is very specific to it.

Stories with summaries as the title

I guess readers are more likely to click on the novel if the title suggests that they're going to like the contents. These sorts of titles might not be ideal, but they work a little more reliably than traditional titles, where a reader might click and find that the title was the only thing...

Do readers like the abusive female character trope?

They're quite possibly just bad at writing women. Some guys think we're like an alien species and they can never understand us, thus they can't write us well. (Or some think they do understand us and then demonstrate that they don't.) Probably relying on the "women are over-emotional and always...

Try changing the font, text size, and then printing out a copy (if possible). Just changing size and font is fine if you can't. It forces your brain to see the text like it's new, and you can pick up on any mistakes more easily that way.

Social Media anyone? (Ig, twitter, etc)

I've seen a comic author use a dedicated Tumblr account very successfully. She used it to reblog things that matched her story thematically or aesthetically, provide updates for her comic, and answer reader questions. I feel like it would be a lot of work if you weren't very dedicated to that...
