@Maple-Leaf Thank you~! We're just discussing why I swapped my Sappho's Spinning Wheel reservation from Snow White to a version of Rapunzel.

    Custom Emojis

It's a really cool idea but wouldn't that require us, as authors, to make custom emojis for people to use? Unless I'm misunderstanding. Not a lot of us are artists, and many people struggle to create a cover of their own in the first place, so... Maybe it will just add unnecessary pressure to...

So I can either mess it up for the anthology and regret it forever, or make the difficult decision to put it on hold for the time being. I still want to write a story with a trans main character, though, so I picked Basile's Petrosinella because it fits well with that, and because it's a...

It was too ambitious for the deadline. I still really want to write Snow White and I intend to continue it once I'm finished with my story for the anthology, but it was unrealistic to expect myself to do a good job with it within 6-8 weeks. It became quite a long and emotionally...

How do you maintain confidence in your story...

Complex PTSD and emotional abuse victim here. I also had the problem of being too good at school as a child (after beginning it as the "school idiot" due to useless teachers). I try to ground myself in reality. I remind myself that I had fans and readers even when I wrote crappy improv...

    The Changes Nobody Sees.

Hm, that's true... I guess only really strong/particularly bizarre or entertaining changes would be of interest to people who haven't/can't read the source material? Any I have of that type are part of my games with my friend, though, so they're not "changes nobody saw".

[New to writing & the site] Advice/Info about posting my first story here

*checks* Aww, and that was what I was most looking forward to... Yeah, don't worry and steam on right ahead. Even if some of your readers don't like a particular part of a story, other readers might love it to bits precisely because of that. I know that some of the people who might end up...

    The Changes Nobody Sees.

My very, very first idea for the MtF gender bender prompt was actually to have a guy wake up as a noble woman in a fantasy world and have to get through the day pretending to be her. At the end of the day, he found out the "hard" way that the original owner of the body was having an affair with...

    Corrections and anxiety.

Thanks, but I hate Grammarly. I have a pretty good grasp of grammar and spelling because I was an English nerd growing up, so it's just little mistakes that I miss here and there. My spell checker should really catch it for me, but sometimes it bugs out, I guess. Maybe imposing a quota might...

    Corrections and anxiety.

Instant head bang on desk. I remember making some really bad typos in "The Heart is a Sea", like writing "She feel worse" instead of "She felt worse" and it transformed that whole sentence into some really creepy baby talk. That said, I just accept that typos are part and partial of writing...

Warning: Little rant on my part

WEAK! In the olden days on NUF, there were whole weeks where users mass changed their avatar to slightly altered versions of Tony's. Back then, we had to walk 10 miles in the snow - both ways - to recognise our buddies. Plus I'm easily recognisable because I'm always cute af.

Do you mean how to access the chapter for editing on Scribble Hub? Or how an author edits at all?

Secret to Trending Through Observation of Some Novels

Art means different things to different people. It's not strange for people to want some easy entertainment when they come home from a long day of work, and those novels are right there to provide it. That doesn't mean they can't address some excellent themes or tell great messages, though.

Secret to Trending Through Observation of Some Novels

These stories may not actually be about that, they're just catching reader attention with that image. Once the reader clicks to see your blurb, your story still has to sell itself. These covers just gain a novel more chances to prove itself than some others.
