Yo. New writer here, it just occured to me to double-check: Is there any kind of beef between ScribbleHub and Royalroad? Will other authors (or worse, the readers) hate me if and when they find out? I know some webfiction sites hate other webfiction sites. :blob_popcorn:

Sounds good to me! The only thing I'd change is to shorten the sentences. Turn at least two or three of the commas (especially the dreaded semicolon) into normal periods. Sentences that are too long are harder to read and understand.~ I like how your description packs a punch and isn't overly long!

I prefer "gray" but I use "grey", since I think it's more common!

No need to do that unless there's many people in the room (even then it can be avoided), or you're trying to slightly inflate your wordcount. Readers are pretty smart, they can figure most stuff out by themselves.
